SIP/Polycom Issue, Asterisk 1.2.16, calls dropped
I've been running the 8/1/2004 Head release up until a little over a week ago. I was forced to due to a card failure to upgrade to 1.2.16 without any advance preparation or testing (most of my connections are via satellite to all corners of the globe with high latency). Up until the upgrade I was running with very few issues. Since the upgrade I have been experiencing strange issues

replacing elements of vector through elements of another vector
Hello everybody, I hope this question is not too silly but I'm almost going crazy about that and could not find a solution. I have two variables, say A and B and I would like to combine them in C. In particular I want a C-value of B when B is not NA and the A value in case that B is NA: A B C 2 NA 2 3 4 4 NA 3 3 4 1 1 2 NA 2 1 4 4 NA NA NA 5 3 3 4 1 1 I

Added functionality --compare-file and --compare-auto
Recently various needs for multiple version handling were discussed and I put forward a plan of mine. Subsequently the proposal for a --compare-file=<FILE> switch had support, so I have implemented this. I have also implemented an experimental --compare-auto which decides which file to match against using a rule. Instructions for patch: 1. Install rsync-2.5.6 source 2. "patch -p1

Setting up Apollo Line Interactive UPS on Ubuntu
Hi Having followed this guide: http://blog.shadypixel.com/monitoring-a-ups-with-nut-on-debian-or-ubuntu-linux/and seeing support for Apollo UPSes mentioned on the compatibility list (genericups, type=4) I tried to set up Nut as follows. OS: Ubuntu Server 12.04 Nut: 2.6.3 (I believe - from Ubuntu repos) ups.conf: > [apollo] > driver = genericups > upstype = 4 > port = /dev/ttyUSB0

[RFC, PATCH 10/24] i386 Vmi descriptor changes
Descriptor and trap table cleanups. Add cleanly written accessors for IDT and GDT gates so the subarch may override them. Note that this allows the hypervisor to transparently tweak the DPL of the descriptors as well as the RPL of segments in those descriptors, with no unnecessary kernel code modification. It also allows the hypervisor implementation of the VMI to tweak the gates, allowing for

PXE-capable NIC listing?
Trey, The Compaq NC7770 PCI-X Gigabit Server Adapter supports PXE: http://www.compaq.com/products/servers/networking/NC7770/ This NIC will be available next month. Also, our strategy is to support PXE on all ProLiant server embedded NICs (10/100/1000) beginning with G2 (generation2) models. Also, most existing DL and all BL servers currently support PXE on their embedded (10/100) NICs. Let

Trouble with finding a network printer...help please...:(((
Hi all, I'm sorry to have to ask a probably straightforward question, but I'm stuck at it, and I need access to the printer for my work...:/ The situation: When first installing CentOS, I manually installed a networked printer, and that worked fine. AFAIR I installed it using the IP address, and the generic Postscript driver. The printer in question is a Xante Accelawriter 3N. The

Samba for VMS
I just installed Samba for VMS (1.9.17p4) on a DecServer 1000A running VMS 7.1 The University Network is primarily NT Server 4.0 SP5. My experience is with Netware and NT, not with VMS, but I have the luck of supporting the system..... My main question is about Encrypted Passwords.....Does this release of Samba support them, or do I have to modify the clients who want access to our Alpha to

Longitudinal data
Hi, I'm analyzing a longitudinal data set with 387 cows were observed in 63 days divided into 6 groups, and every 30 days was found to produce milk. Does not aim to model the time using regression. Only compare the groups differ in terms of milk production. There are many missing observations. Because the data are correlated I used the SAS program: proc mixed data=univar

file sizes different even after successful rsync
Is it even remotely possible that after a successful rsync, the file sizes on both ends are different ??? We use rsync extensively to distribute our builds across all our development sites. Here is how our rsync process works 1. SiteA creates a build #1 2. SiteB rsync's build #1 3. SiteA creates a build #2 4. SiteB rsync's build #2 using contents of build #01 (i.e. we rsync build #02
