Using PauseMonitor with MixMonitor
Hi I'm using asterisk 1.8 on CentOS 5 I'm initiating call recordings with MixMonitor and trying to pause them with the features.conf. Whenever I try to pause the recording the call dies. Is PauseMonitor incompatible with MixMonitor? Here are some key log excerpts features reload == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/features.conf': == Found == Registered Feature

[Asterisk 1.8.3.2] Mixmonitor not working on member(calling part) channel of Queue.
Hi, I have a simple Queue(named 1) and one Member(SIP/1119) logged into it. Now when a caller is placed into Queue and gets connected with Member, I want to record the call. It does record the call when I use MixMonitor() before placing the caller into Queue, but not when MixMonitor() is used in macro which is called upon Member answering the call. Following is my dialplan... [mixmonitortest]

features.conf and mixmonitor stop and start
Hello, I have a recording started in the dialplan with the MixMonitor application. I want to be able to stop it during a call and maybe restart it. I tried using the value defined in [featuremap] but it starts another MixMonitor application even if there already one instead of stopping it. Any idea on how I can stop the MixMonitor application while it is running? [featuremap] automixmon =>

One PRI card with 2 (or more) Telcos
Hi list! We currently have a PRI gateway composed by a box with two Digium quad-span PRI cards (a TE420 and a ). One of the cards is filled with TELCO1, while the other has first two slots filled with TELCO2, and 3rd slot with TELCO3. I am currently having (timer ?) issues on TELCO3 (span 7) D-Chan (202 as determined by dahdi_genconf ) is constantly failing causing on-going calls to terminate.

Call recording - methodology
Hello Everyone; I am looking for a solution to record calls that come into our Asterisk server. I am hoping for something that is easy to use - however, if I have to modify it to make it easier to use, I do not mind. Does anyone know of any opensource or otherwise solutions out there that I can try out? Thanks much. Glen

Call Recording audio file quality query
Hi We're getting requests coming in for higher quality audio in our call recordings. We currently use MixMonitor and everything is being saved in it's native 8000Hz, 16 bit wav format. I have seen information on using Monitor and specifying a conversion to mp3 when the call ends and the 2 channels get mixed but surely the 2 channels are already saved as 16bit 8000Hz wav files so the

Call Recording using MixMonitor - close, but would like some more words of wisdom.
Dan et al; This looks like a perfect solution. However, I have one issue. If I initiate the macro manually (put it in the proper context/dialplan) it works. I see the *.wav file being created and growing in the /var/spool/asterisk/monitor directory. If I try to implement it adding the MixMonApp => *1,self/both,Macro,mixmon to the [applicationmap] in features.conf, I cannot get it to

ExtenSpy Problem
Hi I'm trying to get ExtenSpy to work but it wont, I'm dialling a number from my mobile which comes into our server and answering the number on a particular SIP extension which all works fine. I'm then dialling an exten from my own SIP extension which executes the ExtenSpy for the correct extension but I hear nothing. Here is the output in the CLI -- Executing

Calls Dropping
Hello, We have a problem that calls seem to be dropping for no reason. Is there any way to write a debug log to disk so that I can check it as soon as a call is lost? It happens randomly once or twice a day to different callers. Many thanks Dan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Record call without caller interference
Hello list, can a conversation be recorded without the caller or callee having to press some combination that is defined in features.conf ?? Like in queues.conf you have the ability to record a conversation with MixMonitor when the caller is connected to an agent/member of the queue. Can this auto-recording also be implied on normal Dial(something) ?? So that when the call is picked up (and

Realtime Context
Hi, I'd like to be able to create contexts in real-time when I add new clients to my asterisk box. Currently, I have to create a blank context in extensions.conf and add:- switch => Realtime/@ Is there any way to avoid the step of creating the blank context and simply include all the entries from the database? Thanks Dan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

Queue Breakout Input being Ignored
Hello, Raw stats: Version:1.8.3.2 OS:Centos 5.6 Special setup: postgre database I am having a few queue issues with Asterisk specifically relating to breaking out from queues while on hold. The intent is that while someone is on hold they can press a key (lets say *) to break from the queue and go elsewhere (in this case to leave a message). However In all of my testing I am unable to get

Trouble with *8 Pickup
We have a client that has sporadic problems with the *8 pickup facility. The server they are using is 1.8.5 and they are using Snom phones. Asterisk 1.8.3
I have deployed several 1.8.3.2 systems as upgrades of customers systems and now I am seeing random crashes. For some reason the builds lock up and stop taking sip connections. Existing calls stay on but when the user hangs up no new calls or reg attempts work. In most cases a "core restart now" cleans things up. Some times I have to kill the asterisk process. The stability of 1.8.2

Include and Realtime
Hi, I think I already know the answer to this question, but is there any way to do the following using realtime? Or do I have to create a full dialplan for each client without using includes? [client1_phones] include => client1_internal include => client1_outgoing_calls include => test_calls include => parkedcalls [client2_phones] include => client2_internal include =>
