It took some time...
For those who are using SuSE:
At last they've managed to create ready-to-run packages for
openSUSE_11.1. They are there since a couple of hours...
(For other versions it was allready available for some time on the OBS)

Tinc with Proxmox node
Hello,
I am testing Tinc and I successfully created a link between 2 nodes.
I have some doubts about subnet behaviour.
This is my scenario:
Switch:
LAN IP 10.100.10.100
Connected to WAN and Proxmox node
Proxmox node:
bridge interface with public IP , connected to switch
LXC with public IP, assigned to bridge
I create a Tinc VPN between Home host and Proxmox on net 10.100.10.0

How to install speex codec for Asterisk that is downloaded from Digium Yum Repository?
Hi Everyone,
I have done "yum install speex libspeex-devel speex-devel" and it was
succesful on CentOS. I then tried "yum install asterisk16 asterisk16-addons
asterisk16-configs" but "core show translation" doesn't show speex loaded.
Is there a way to or an option that I can append to the asterisk install to
make sure it compiles with speex in mind?
Thanks,

Cannot install dahdi-linux on (old) PAE kernel.
I am trying to install dahdi-linux from packages onto an OEL5u3 server which has an old kernel (5.2.6.18_128) and is a PAE variant. As there are no kmod packages now available for this kernel I am having to build them from source packages.
I have installed the dahdi-firmware-2.0.0-1_centos5 RPM directly.
I have downloaded the following SRPMS
dahdi-linux-2.4.1.2-1_centos5.src.rpm

Re: CoreOS support
Unfortunately this is a prebuilt proxmox server which is running on debian wheezy and I cannot even install the latest version of libguesfs because of this.

Decent Performance
Hi all,
I am trying to get some decent speed out of a vanilla Debian (Proxmox) box and
am running out of ideas. Basically I can exchange data at 110MB/sec (raw, nfs,
ftp) but not with Samba shares.
I tried almost every samba tuning tip I could find to no avail. The only
optimisation left to smb.conf at the moment is debug level = 0. As one can see
the robocopy throughput is merely half of what

How does Digium Repo install Dahdi on a virtual container while I can't do the same trying from source install?
Hello,
I can do simple, "yum install asterisk18-*" and it installs Asterisk and
Dahdi-tools/Dahdi-Linux on my OpenVZ container. Everything runs well and
smooth.
However, if I want to compile dahdi-linux on the same openvz then I get the
error, *"You do not appear to have the source for the 2.6.32-4-pve kernel
installed".*

Setting ACLs with smbcacls fails (partly)
Hello,
I'm running a PDC and a secondary DC in privilegded lxc containers and
try to setup a fileserver in an unprivileged lxc container.
The shares of the file server are on the ZFS of the host and mapped via
bind-mount.
I've got the problem, that I get error messages when setting the ACLs of
a samba share either via the Windows explorer or using the smbcacls command.
