Asterisk 1.6.2.18, Cisco 79XX not registering
Hi all, I have a production server running with about 90 Cisco 79[46]1's and SIP release 8.5(2)SR1 from last year. I was running Asterisk 1.6.2.9 and upgraded last night after hours. (Seemed low risk to me!) Much to my surprise, not a single one of the Cisco 79XX phones would register. Since it's a production server, I rolled back to 1.6.2.9 and everything was fine. Order Logix deals primarily with Call Centers, it pulls the information from the SQL database, and will allow access for the client to pull the recording and all associated call information... I know its a long shot and

screen shot centos 7
HI All, I have some remote computers - at times I issue commands to take screen shots. I use xwd -silent -root or import -silent -window root to do so. It seems at times the screen capture is the actual current content. It might be a previous displayed item etc... Anyone ran across this or thoughts ? Jerry

screen shot centos 7
So I found a "-debug all" option... Its talking about "cache" for a screen shot. Not sure why a screen shot would ever be cached - Not sure if this is what I'm running into some how??? /usr/bin/import -debug all -silent -window root screen.png 2019-07-10T09:13:36-05:00 0:00.000 0.010u 6.7.8 Configure import[17048]: utility.c/ExpandFilenames/939/Configure Command line:

I think you can pull this off with `yum shell`. First, though, don't do `rpm -qa` as

EXT3 and SAN Snap Shot, Best practice?
As RedHat has a limited choice of file systems it supports, I have a need to use EXT3 together with Oracle and a SAN SnapShot (3Par Snapclone). I was wondering if anyone could give me some feed back as to the "best" method to do that. So far I am thinking: Put Oracle into Backup mode Run sync (or multiple times) Execute Snapshot command on SAN (takes less then 1 second). Take Oracle

Re: parting shot re nVIDIA on Linux
Hey, I only got a Voodoo Banshee because one was up for auction locally, and I could get it cheap. I also had good results with a cheapie S3 card. I suspect that most any other card might work better than nVIDIA. So if you want to "cut the Gordian knot" and solve the problems fast, F**K nVIDIA, and try any other display card. Rick

one-shot raid mirror to remote?
I have a filesystem on a RAID1 partition created with a 'missing' mirror so I can periodically sync with an external drive for backup. Now I'd like to move the contents to a different machine that has a matching partition with minimal downtime. Is it possible to export the new partition via iscsi or an nbd device so that the old system will sync to it over the network allowing an

FW: R double shot?
Hi all, Here is another slightly basic question. I am running Ubuntu 11.04 on my laptop. I've been meaning to use R for my work at school. I know I installed one of the debian binaries, because I went through all the process of setting up the repositories, fetching keys, and the command line instructions that you find here<http://http://cran.stat.auckland.ac.nz/>. I let that sit for a
