Cannot install dahdi-linux on (old) PAE kernel.
I am trying to install dahdi-linux from packages onto an OEL5u3 server which has an old kernel (5.2.6.18_128) and is a PAE variant. As there are no kmod packages now available for this kernel I am having to build them from source packages. I have installed the dahdi-firmware-2.0.0-1_centos5 RPM directly. I have downloaded the following SRPMS dahdi-linux-2.4.1.2-1_centos5.src.rpm

Installing Asterisk from repository works great without the need to install Dahdi on Host Node of Proxmox - But trying to install from source fails. Why?
Hi everyone, I just lunched a CentOS VM in Proxmox and used the Digium repository to install Asterisk using "yum install asterisk16"...and it works great. Runs and it seems to have installed ztdummy as well without the need to touch the host node. But when I try to compile Dahdi from source on the same VM to install Asterisk from source I get this: #@root/usr/src/dahdi/: *make all*

Unable to create channel of type 'DAHDI' (cause 0 - Unknown)
Does anyone know what this error message means? Unable to create channel of type 'DAHDI' (cause 0 - Unknown) I've upgraded to 1.6.0 with dahdi 2.0. For some reason my outbound dahdi calls are not going through. At some point, it starts to work, but I don't know what the trigger is. Out of the blue, outbound calls start to work. I had been using asterisk-1.6-beta9 with zaptel

Best way to get dahdi status
I'm creating an app that needs to read the status of all dahdi spans and channels, etc. (whatever is needed to tell a user the state of their DAHDI connections). What is the best way to do that? I see dahdi-tools available from the command line, asterisk CLI commands, and AMI commands. What is the best way to get the status at a detail level? -------------- next part -------------- An

asterisk 1.6.0 seems to have improper dial status when dialing dahdi extension
Hi. When I dial a Dahdi extension using asterisk 1.6.0, and there is no answer, the extension hangs up, but the dial status is busy instead of no answer. How do I get this to work -- do I need to update dahdi? The card is an X400p using its FXS module. Thanks in advance for any ideas on this. -- Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The question is: How do you spend it?

DAHDI not detecting RINGING Status on the Channel
I am using an 8 port tdm card and also I implemented a dialer using a .call file generator. As you know on the .call you specify the channel to call and then the contex/extension/priority to let dial plan continue when the call is bridge. My actual problem is that when the call process starts, asterisk (DAHDI) sets the channel as answered when the truth is that on the other side the channel has

So as to warn user of the problem i attached a vocal notification to the CONGESTION status after a Dial(), but it looks like it also catch other congestion case (maybe on the receiver side). Using Asterisk/Digium repos => Astribank firmware not found
Hello, I'm writing here hoping to have a hint from Asterisk/Digium packager maintainer, Jason Parker (of course that any other's opinion is welcomed). We have installed an asterisk machine using Asterisk and Digium repos. Unfortunately we have found that an Astribank could not be connected due to the lack of the firmware files May 18 14:19:22 tenora1 kernel: usb 1-6: new high speed USB
