No incoming audio on Dahdi channels (TDM410P)
A previous issue has popped up and once again I'm out of ideas. During the evenings it seems that the TDM channels will spike (dahdi_monitor) and will refuse to listen for audio of any type, this includes DTMF. The only resolution I know of is to stop Asterisk and restart the dahdi service, but that's not a solution. All channels look like this, even the FXS. [root at asterisk Hardware]#

Asterisk 1.4.0 B4 Sounds Directory
Hi, I noticed that the sound directory is missing from asterisk-1.4.0-beta4.tar.gz. This directory (7 M) witch existed in asterisk-1.4.0-beta3.tar.gz has GSM Core Sounds and some MOH. Does anyone know why it has been removed from the latest beta? Question on the nature of b3/b4 changes
I have a number of .ogg files encoded with b2, and some with b3. Is the psychoacoustic model in the forthcoming b4 significantly improved over these builds, such that re-encoding these files would give me either noticeably better sound, or smaller files? Also, just out of curiousity, will b4-encoded files be playable with older WinAmp plugins? Incidentally, I did some tests with b2 a while back

Any wine-0.9 build instructions for AMD64 b4-bit systems?
Hi, I wonder if anyone knows how to build the new version of wine on an AMD64 system. There seem to be problems with it looking at the emulation libraries I guess: gcc -m32 -c -I. -I. -I../../include -I../../include -D__WINESRC__ -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -Wall -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -fno-strict-aliasing -gstabs+ -Wdeclaration-after-statement -Wpointer-arith -g -O2 -o surface_wndproc.o

Metadata in b4 Vorbis files?
Help! I'm researching Vorbis as a solution for talk programming archiving (obviously more affordable for the budget conscious public radio stations than Real). An important feature will be the abillity to search the metadata of the audio files. Is this functionality already available with b4? I've also research an open standard for meta data tagging called MusicBrainz and they mention

Mono wavs with b4
When I encode a monophonic wav file, I would expect the resulting ogg file to be at about half the bit rate specified on the command line, as stated in the "oggenc -h" help text: "The 6 modes are approximately 112, 128, 160, 192, 256, and 350 kbps (for stereo 44.1kHz input. Halve these numbers for mono input).". This doesn't seem to be happening, though. I took a 16-bit,

Errmsgs b4 and after migration DC V1.0.15 to V1.1.8
Last Wednesday at 12:21 I made this switch, which seemed to be uneventful. In any case, no user has reported problems since the migration. Not content to leave well enough alone, this morning I scanned the syslog and maillog for dovecot related errors. What I found was that: Before the Migration=========================== I saw a lot of SSL errors that look like this: > Jan 14 11:49:23

Unicall MFC/R2 B3,B4 and clear back
Hi All, I have an R2 installation still undergoing testings, during the test I notice that the Unicall always respond B6 to a II-1 (from a forward switch). Except, for a DNIS that can't be found in the dial plan, in this case it respond with B5. My real problem is, the call will be terminate on a Cisco 7206 with ISDN/PRI thru SIP. If the Called number is busy or the Cisco 7206 is busy or
