The PostgreSQL driver bundled with unixODBC will use Unix sockets to `localhost', but this driver seems unreliable (see the ChangeLog). The current driver will only use a TCP/IP port, and to use that needs postmaster started with the -i flag (which is not the default) and with tcp/ip

why RODBC on windows 7 with Sybase, returns garbage?
Hi James, Is your server name correct in the string below? Looks like you are using incorrect server name. If you don't give full server name, then the server has to be registered with ODBC management tool so that it can be picked up automatically. MDAC not installing
MDAC is proving to be a pain for me to install. I have so far had nothing but failure. Here is a breakdown of what I'm working from. I am using Ubuntu Linux (Hoary 5.04) and the 20050725 binary install from the instructions here: http://www.winehq.com/site/download-deb Wine installs fine and I can get some core software installed w/o a hitch. I am using the script from here to get IE6,

Hello, let me first say that I do not have much experience with mailing lists, so I hope you can overlook any faults I might do in this process, nor is English my mother language. Secondly, I would like to thank all the developers of NUT, it truly is a great package of software and has made life easier for many of us. As I've understood the upsuser-list is also frequently read by the devs
