Caller ID and DNIS Problems (Non-Pri T1)
I am trying to receive both CID and DNIS from the telco through a
non-pri T1. Currently I have the T1 setup and operational both outbound
and inbound calls are completed as should be expected. The calls came
in and were placed in the context specified in zapata.conf on exten =>
s,1.
I have requested that the telco provide callerid (they call it ANI)
along with 10 digit dnis for my 800

Caller ID issue
Hi list,
I'm having a problem with CallerID names not showing up when calls come
in. I have dialplan code to store the callerid(name) away and it is
blank (null). However, the voicemail variable ${VM_CALLERID} has the
name field populated. For example, here is some of the dialplan code:
2. Set(CALLER_ID_INFO_ALL=${CALLERID(all)})
3. Set(CALLER_ID_INFO_NAME=${CALLERID(name)})

CVS-HEAD and Caller ID -- Pulling my hair out!
I have looked into this callerid problem now for a few hours.
1) Caller id on a sipura-2000 now shows:
cidname
2000
Where cidname is the new outputted formate from the cid_rewrite agi script
and 2000 is the exten number.
In looking at the Dial() application,
option "o"
'o' -- Original (inbound) Caller*ID should be placed on the outbound

Caller ID (name) - where does it come from?
Hi Folks, having an issue with outbound calls through a VOIP provider. Calls
get sent out with the CallerID(number), but where does callerID(name) come
from? Apparently not from provider, as we are seeing different (sometime
missing) names on inbound calls, different than what we have configured.
Apparently this comes from some telco database somewhere? Numbers were
ported from a wired-telco.

BroadVoice outgoing works - now tackle caller ID
Hi,
I got a broadvoice "business" account under the byod(bring your own
device) program. I have applied the patches and created new asterisk
debian packages. I have the account working on inbound and outbound. The
problem area is outbound caller ID. I have 3 other accounts with IAX2
providers and have no problem setting the caller ID on outbound calls.
I called them and they

Overriding Caller ID
Hello list,
We have some kind of a problem with our Asterisk installation. We
want to be able to publish different caller id when placing outbound
calls through the PSTN. We have Asterisk with TE410P and T1 from FDN
Communications. The problem is that all our outbound calls show our
main number, regardless of what we set with SetCallerID, even using

Caller ID replacement
I'm working on building a pbx that will allow us to use our cellphones as
extensions (to some extent)
The dialout is working fine. What I would like to do is have an inbound
cellphone call appear as if it were an extension. So right now if I call in
from cell #9995551212 the caller id is 9995551212 but if I dial extension
30013 it will call cell #9995551212. I would like to change the caller

Caller ID info ZAP --> SIP??
Hi everyone,
I've been toying with * for quite some time now. I've got two Cisco
7940's with the SIP firmware playing nice with *. I can also make
outbound calls via IAXTel (toll-free calls only) and all other calls I
have routed out my X100P-clone adapter.
Here's my question... Is there a way to capture the inbound callerid from
my phone line (coming in on the X100P) and have

X100P and Call Waiting Caller ID on the PSTN line
Hi,
I have the following basic configuration:
- one X100P card
- two IP Phones (connected to an ATA186)
When an incomming call on X100P, both phones connected to an ATA186 rings
(configured like that in extensions.conf).
When a call is established between the two ATA phones and a call occurs from
the PSTN line, the callerid is correctly displayed on both phones (as

debugging callerid help
I've got a rather strange callerid problem and don't know how to debug it.
I've got two X100P cards installed in a RH9 box and both are connected to
individual pstn pots lines. Both are equipped with callerid and both display
callerid info on regular analog phones (verified 100%). Incoming and outgoing
calls are handled just fine.
When an incoming call arrives on one X100P card, *

Originate with Caller ID Name
I am using AMI to Originate a call.
I have been able to get the caller id number to be passed through.
However, I can't get the name to be passed through.
A person I'm working with has a Freeswitch that is able to pass the caller id name and number through for their call.
Comparing the Asterisk SIP messages to the Freeswitch SIP messages, I have narrowed the problem down to a single

Is there a Caller ID issue in the latest CVS Stable
Greetings,
2 nights ago I upgraded one of my remote servers to the latest CVS Stable,
Asterisk CVS-v1-0-02/07/05-16:13:48, and my inbound and outbound caller ID
stopped working. At first I thought it was my carrier, so I've been yelling
at them for the past day or so.
I then upgraded my core network (about 8 asterisk servers) to the latest
stable as of 3am last night, Asterisk

An additional follow-up question, if I need to set the P-Asserted-Identity on the create (originate), is there a way to do this with ARI?

setting outbound caller ID
I have found several places where it is explained how to do this, and I
have got the following setup, but it is not working (the provider claims
they are not getting a proper caller ID setting from me).
I have a number of extensions that are shorthand, that I will use one of as
an example (real number hidden):
exten => 2473,1,Macro(callout,##########)
Then this (actual number hidden again):

Newbie question: how to proxy the *real* caller-id on find-me/follow-me
I've got the following set up:
Someone calls into my PBX on a single number (via SIP trunk from my
carrier), and the get a voice menu of extensions.
On one of the extensions, it rings a bunch of internal SIP hardphones,
plus ringing my cellphone via a hairpin through the cairrier's SIP/PSTN
gateway.
The issue is that my cellphone shows my PBX's number, not the original
