asterisk syntax highlighting for gedit
Hi,
Apologies if this is a duplicate - been having mail server issues and I don't think I managed to send it when I tried this morning.
It seems there is no .conf syntax highlighting script available for gedit. I'm thinking of putting one together myself, but don't want to reinvent the wheel.
So I'm just enquiring if anyone knows of one that already exists that i've missed.

Asterisk 1.8 IAX Registration
Hi,
Have just been testing asterisk 1.8.0, 1.8.0-rc5 and a trunk version from about half an hour ago.
IAX Friends (Zoiper Softphones) don't stay registered for more than a few seconds they start out with status unknown and quickly become unreachable, I am using realtime with postgresql, with tables and configuration that have worked fine for IAX in 1.6 and a trunk release from a few months

Variable inheritance with dialplan command Originate
Hi,
I would have thought that when spawning a channel using the Originate() dialplan command, variables prefixed with two underscores would be preserved.
However this does not work in the following case.
Dialplan code:
[intern]
exten => 200,1,Set(__myvar="foo")
exten => 200,n,Originate(Local/123 at test_orig,exten,dummy)
[test_orig]
exten => 123,1,NoOp(${myvar})

*8 pickup not releasing channel
Hi,
At a site running Asterisk 1.6.2.14 there is a problem whereby if someone does a *8 pickup, then sometimes it will keep hold of the channel after seemingly being hung up. The channel shows up if you do "core show channels" and the device state is IN_USE.
I couldn't find a bug report on this - there is https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=18654 but that seems to be different

Help me understand these log messages
OK, I need a bit of help here. I'm configuring a new Asterisk 11
system and I accidentally let my firewall rules drop for a day or so.
When I logged in today, I found messages like the ones below on my
asterisk console. Obviously somebody was trying to take advantage of
my carelessness. So can someone explain what would cause these types
of messages to show up on my console?

information about Loess
Hello,
I'm currently using a tool that provides a Loess fitting, but I obtained results that are slightly different from those provided by R implementation of the Loess. That's why I would like to know if you could give me a source (bibliography or web) that explains in a clear way each step of the algorithm, with the possible options to choose, etc.. in order for me to understand those

select on letter
Hi,
I was wondering if anybody can help me. In the small data set below I would like to select the index which doesn't contain the letter 'N' in the variable 'letters'. How can I discard these rows when the letter has a different position everytime (but the same letter for the whole column)?
index<-c(1,2,3)
letters<-c("CCTTGGAA", "NNTTGGAAT",

Asterisk uses 3 seconds to send ACK after OK
Hello!
We recently upgraded one of our customers from 1.4.44 to 1.8.15-cert1. We have several other customers running both versions.
The customer in question does not use us as their provider as they?re located in a different country.
When they make outgoing calls, there is a 3 second delay between answering the call and the call being established. When debugging this, I found that Asterisk

same value in column-->delete
Hi Readers,
I have a question.
I have a large dataset and want to throw away columns that have the same
value in the column itself and I want to know which column this was.
For example
> x<-data.frame(id=c(1,2,3), snp1=c("A","G",
"G"),snp2=c("G","G","G"),snp3=c("G","G","A"))

Darker markers for symbols in lattice
In lattice, using the command trellis.par.get for superpose.symbol, plot,
symbol and/or dot.symbol shows that we can specify alpha, cex, col, fill
(for superpose.symbol and plot.symbol), font, and pch. Trial and error
shows that the font affects letters but not pch=1 or pch=3 (open circles
and plus signs.) I want to use open circles and plus signs, keep the colors
and cex I've specified but

I want to make extra columns in my datafile where the id of every

[1.8] Unable to Register: Registration denied because of contact ACL
Hello All,
Some new security stuff is going on I suppose in 1.8 that I am not familiar
with and would appreciate your help
In a scenario such as the following:
Internet --> SBC --> Asterisk
upon trying to register an endpoint, the following is being observed on the
Asterisk Console. Have Googled this but haven't come up with anything that
helped much.
