We've been experiencing this same problem, however, with Samba
3.0.7-1.3E.1 running on RedHat ES 3.0. We've also experienced this on
2.2.7x on RedHat 9. The problem has been intermittently happening over the
last several weeks, (I've posted list about it).
This message, along with the others in the thread, describes the symptoms
that we're seeing, however, I haven't

Long call setup times on SIP to zaptel calls
I have had a lot of complaints about the time it takes to setup a call.
I have timed it and it is almost five seconds before it even starts
ringing. The SIP device sends the request almost instantly but the
channel is taking a long time to pickup and dial. It wouldn't be so bad
but they hear nothing. I would like to provide ringback before the
zaptel actually starts ringing the channel. Has

Services take a long time during initialzation (LDAP-authentication)
Hi!
I've got a CentOS4.7-machine as a fileserver. The machine also serves
as the LDAP-server against which all regular users are
authenticated. The problem I am having is that the machine takes a
very long time to boot. Most of the services start up rather quick,
but three services take quite a long time (extending the boot time to
over half an hour, which is .... long)
The three services

Any ideas why I can't dial this SIP phone (sometimes)?
Can anyone offer any insights as to why with one of these examples I

Creating domain list takes too long
Hello --
We have a LAN that consists of a samba domain controller and a bunch of PCs. The samba version is 3.0.20b and the PCs are running Windows XP (sp2). The Windows clients can join the domain without any problem, however, a message saying "Please wait while the domain list is created" shows up right after the first time after the clients join the domain and reboot. SIP Dial Command to a non-Asterisk url
Dear All,
I have a tiny dial plan like:
[testing]
exten => 454,s,Ringing()
exten => 454,n,Wait(4)
exten => 454,n,Dial(SIP/slee@192.168.45.183:5605,10)
exten => 454,n,Hangup
This connects fine when I dial 454 from any extension in my system,
but there is never any audio?
Where can I start to look for debugging this? It's all internal so no
NAT problems?
Thanks,
Gavin.

Stepwise procedure with force.in command
Dear R-helpers,
I am trying to do a stepwise procedure in which I want to force some
variables in the model. I have searched around and it seems that only
leaps package allows to force the variable in the stepwise procedure. I
use the leaps package and use the regsubsets(lm1, force.in = 1, data) to
force 1 variable in the model. However, the force.in command only allow
me to force 1 variable

mysql call stored procedure
Hi Guys,
I am getting an error when executing another mysql query in dialplan after
calling stored procedure.
If calling the procedure from mysql cli it gives a result like:
mysql> call call_control(78236721,1000,1233);
+------+
| pass |
+------+
| 1 |
+------+
So I need asterisk to recognize this pass and take some actions based on
what the pass value is.
Dialplan looks like this:

Universal procedure to know if wine can run 32 bits apps
Hi,
I'm preparing a training session on avisynth (running under wine) for a local linux user group (LUG). In the list of prerequisites for people attending this training session, they will have to install wine on their computer. Since we will be using only the 32 bits version of avisynth, it will be mandatory that their version of wine is able to run 32 bits apps.
My problem is that I neither

Rails MySQL Stored Procedure Fun
Hi All.
I have a question about calling MySQL stored procedures that is a little
different from the usual.
I know stored procedures are not really the ''Rails way'' but in this case
there is no other way to accomplish the same task and I have used them
successfully.
Background:
I am using a query to produce a real-time status of items flowing
through a factory.
The query

memory error / iterative procedure
Dear R experts,
I have been trying to run an iterative procedure in R and am having
some sort of memory build up problem. I am using R1.8.0 on Windows XP.
One single iteration of my procedure is coded into a function. This
function creates an extremely large matrix of simulated values (actually
calls WinBugs which returns simulations), does some calculations with it
and returns a single number
