Wifi + SIP + Asterisk
In my old office, for conference purpose , gotomeeting was used. also for the lecture delivery, same gobomeeting was used, most the time , we need to listen voice only. also, we use to share desktop screen. But as far as I know SIP is the standard for video telephony. SIP can handle video +Audio. now, I am thinking that, I can give solution like selling a server which has Asterisk over it. AFAIK,

Samba 4 -> Group Policy Drive Map -> Access Denied
OK, the preference is set correctly. Have you run a "samba-tool ntacl sysvolcheck" on your first domain controller? That will check the permissions. If you have additional domain controllers, ensure you're connecting to the one holding the PDC Emulator role (typically your first DC) in your GPMC. If the sysvolcheck says everything is fine, and you only have one domain controller,

Phantom email message
Got sort of a strange problem on one email account. Everything works fine with Thunderbird/IMAP showing the correct unread message count. But on my DroidX smartphone one of my email accounts always shows one unread message, but I can't bring any unread messages up. It's like there's something there making it think there's a message when there isn't. The email client is K-9

OT: Recommendation for EDGE/3GPP SIP phone?
I'm looking to ditch my GSM phone with Cingular and provide my own calling services with Asterisk hanging my phone off the Edge or 3GPP network... Luckily, I have the option (through my employer) of getting a data-only plan. My question is, other than the Nokia E61i or E70, what phones will do SIP-over-EDGE or SIP-over-3GPP? The iPhone doesn't yet have a SIP client, and it's

Should Join Discussion - Fwd: [whatwg] Give guidance about RFC 4281 codecs parameter
Hello, You guys might want to join this discussion. (And maybe some others too.) On the WhatWG mailing list, there's been a fury of e-mails about adding a <video> element to HTML5. They're talking about codecs and containers now. It might be helpful to have your representatives there. And help shape things. See ya ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Dave Singer

Frauenhofer signing off on mp3, ogg stream player for Macs?
I must say this is a very confusing issue. I generate AAC+ on an open source system which downloaded some code during installation from the 3GPP source. It appears the encoding software is being freely distributed, and hardware which decodes the stream pays a licence fee at point of manufacture. We have such hardware. In a number of locations. One brand has AAC+ only, not AAC. I note VLC

Marvin, fair enough. Via's licensing terms appear to apply to encoders and decoders only, and not to transports, such as Icecast ("An AAC patent license is needed by manufacturers or developers of end-user encoder and/or decoder products"), so using Icecast to transport an AAC-encoded stream is not a violation of the AAC is not mentioned in the Icecast documentation (that I can

3GPP and 3Gpp2 Support
Are there any plans to provide support to stream to cellphones ? If my understanding is correct, this requires 3Gpp, RTP/RTSP support. I see that apple has a stream server for this. Randy

sampling size yet, is this also planned for rc4? Any idea when vorbis will be able to support all 6 channels? If I could get the data off the DVD, what are my best options right now if I wanted to use ogg vorbis? Is there a program which will sample it down to 44.1khz/16bit/stereo which I could then encode to ogg vorbis? Thanks, Bryan -- http://www.bokeoa.com/ | bryan@bokeoa.com GPG
