DAHDI - analogue, not seeing ringing (UK)
So made my first forray into 1.4 and DAHDI and hit a problem. (Not convinced this is a DAHDI issue though...) Testing an analogue line and asterisk sees the caller ID being passed, but then fails to detect ringing. A plain old analogue phone plugged in rings just fine. Console output: == Starting post polarity CID detection on channel 4 -- Starting simple switch on

Phantom CallerID on transfers
Hi Gang, Running Asterisk 1.4SVN using Polycom 501 phones. Just enabled CallerID and for the most part it works as good as you'd expect anything to from the phone company to. Except: on about 1 out of 10 transfers, instead of getting a callerid of "joe cool <100>" or "abc company <205-555-1212>" I just get "asterisk". Here is what

call file challenge...
Greetings!! We're getting some strange results using call files.. no matter the technology, DAHDI, SIP, etc., we get a "Call failed to go through, reason (3) Remote end Ringing" message when attempting to originate a call from a call file. Numbers changed to protect the innocent.... using call file.... //------------CALL FILE------------// Channel: DAHDI/g1/918005551212

Problem routing call to fax machine on DAHDI FXS port
I am running Asterisk 1.6.2.17.2 with a Openvox A400 card with 2FXO/2FXS modules. I'm trying to set-up things to route analog fax calls from a FXO port to an analog fax machine on a FXS port on the same card. Outgoing faxes work just fine. But incoming faces are routed to the right DAHDI extension, but the call dropped right as the fax machine rings for the first time. The fax machine

Problem with libpri / asterisk
Hi all ! We currently have an asterisk box that is rather old (runs Asterisk 1.4.21.2), and it's connected to the PSTN with a sangoma A104d card. Now we have a new PRI at another location, and I use that occasion to build 2 new servers, one to replace our aging one and a new one for this new pri. So I downloaded the lastest libpri / asterisk / wanpipe driver, but the previous version of

dahdi "hungup" after each ring
Hi, I guess something's wrong with my chan_dahdi configuration, ... but I can't seem to get it. When I test incoming calls on a DAHDI-channel (incoming from pstn), asterisk seems to interpret it as a caller hangup after each ring. Any ideas. OUTPUT: -- Starting simple switch on 'DAHDI/5-1' -- Executing [s at from-pstn:1] *Verbose*("*DAHDI/5-1*",

phantom incomming calls from asterisk
About once a day I have noticed a phantom incoming call with a caller ID of asterisk@192.168..<cut off>. When I answer the call there is a dial tone and the call is disconnected. Any clues? David Koski david.nospham@kosmosisland.com

Sending a hook flash to a DAHDI channel
I've got a piece of CPE equipment that has an FXS port that I have tied to an FXO port on a TDM400 clone card. Normally, if I go off-hook with a standard telephone connected to it, I get a dialtone. If I dial a digit, and send a hookflash, the device will provide a dialtone back for the next available channel on the device. I'm trying to recreate this same behavior with Asterisk,

Got event 17 (Polarity Reversal)...
Can anyone tell me what this message means? Got event 17 (Polarity Reversal)... I'm running DAHDI 2.0 with a TDM401 card. Asterisk version 1.6.0. It appears that I get this Polarity Reversal each time an inbound call hangs up. This results in another ring, but no one is there. It appears as an unknown caller, but I believe its a phantom. Thanks, Jim [Oct 10 12:47:54] NOTICE[6669]:

DAHDI weather quirk
Hello list, This may or may not be Asterisk related, but if I had hair I'd pull it out over this. I have a TDM400P card in a Dell POWEREDGE 1550 running Asterisk 1.4.30. Everything works great except that every time it rains, I get flooded with this CLI message - == Starting post polarity CID detection on channel 1 -- Starting simple switch on 'DAHDI/1-1'

clone X100p+dahdi dial out works only after receiving call
So, tweaking configs, rebuilding this and that... restarting, twiddling, it works (yeah!), but fails on re-boot to work at all. Consistently, though. I believe it comes down to this: I can call out only *after* I've received a call. So, cold boot. Then: modprobe dahdi modprobe wctc4xxp modprobe wcfxo dahdi: Telephony Interface Registered on major 196 dahdi: Version: 2.1.0.3
