OpenVPN server and firewalld
How do I insert the iptables rule below using firewalld?
I'm moving up from CentOS 6 to 7 on an office gateway and I'm trying to get
OpenVPN working to allow home workers to access PCs at the office. I've got
it all working but only by manually inserting an ACCEPT rule in the FORWARD
iptables chain:
iptables -I FORWARD 3 -i tun+ -j ACCEPT
This rule was extracted from my iptables

OpenVPN Clients Intermittently Cannot Call In
Hello,
I am running Asterisk 11.12.0 on CentOS 6.4. The asterisk server and internal phones are located on the 10.10.32.0/21 LAN subnet. I have many internal SIP phones, which appear to be working correctly. I have a few external phones (Yealink SIP-T32G or other Yealink model) on 192.168.32.0/24 which have an OpenVPN client configured on them that connects back to the LAN network through a

UDP port 1194 marking/routing problem
Hi folks,
I have OpenVPN (respect for it developers) running on my FW.
Is has two external NICs and on internal everything is fine, except
I want OpenVPN (UDP port 1194) going not via default route/network interface.
I use such commands:
iptables -t mangle -D POSTROUTING -o eth0 -p udp --dport 1194 -j MARK --set-mark 0x990
ip rule add fwmark 0x990

Any good guides for installing Asterisk on Embedded systems like Alix boards?
Hi Everyone,
Knowing that running Asterisk on an embedded board like the Alix2d3 requires
some fine tuning. Do you know of any good guides out there that does this
from beginning to end? Looking to run this in a small office environment.
Thanks

Samba Certificates with OpenVPN
I'm setting up a VPN using Samba's AD for user
authentication. Everything seems to check out
on the PFsense side. Authentication is reported
as successful, but when I try to connect to
the actual network, I get:
"Certificate does not have key usage extension."
"certificate verify failed"
Is this an issue with samba's self generated certificates
or I should I be

Q: Samba AD, Pfsense, Windows 10, vpn
Your pfSense firewall has OpenVPN built into it already, and you can point pfSense authentication back to your samba AD. We support over 400 users in this model. The configuration file for OpenVPN is common to all users, and they authenticate with their AD credentials.

Q: Samba AD, Pfsense, Windows 10, vpn
I only have some experience with OPNsense but maybe you can relate:
- In my case it was always the certificate.?
- I had to add the cert to the system certs using CLI. Adding them in the WebGUI was not enough.
- Port 636 did not work for me, only 389 using STARTTLS
Hope that helps...

OpenPVN authentication via Samba AD
A little off topic, but this does revolve around
Samaba.
I'm hoping someone can help me get to a working aolution.
I haven't been able to find a clear quide, but it must

Probably not the best place to ask, but hopefully
someone can point me in the right direction.
I have a tiny business. We use Samba for file sharing
and authentication in an AD setup. I'm running a
pfsense appliance firewall. NAT on the internal
network.
Is there a way to allow employees to authenticate
and access files to encourage remote work?
What resource should I look to to figure

Openvpn Connection Reset
Hello I''m hoping you guys can help me figure this out. When I use
shorewall clear my windows openvpn client connects perfectly every
time. But when I have the shorewall up 90% (not every time) it will
connect for about a second and then the connection will reset and that
will repeat over and over so i never don''t really get a steady
connection at all. I can tell you that

Problem with openvpn and tun interface
I'm scratching my head here a little. And my post to the openvpn mailing
list is not getting any attention.
I have an openvpn server working with Windows clients and I thought I'd
try to get a client config on a CentOS box running. The client is a
minimal install of CentOS and I like to use shorewall (3.2.x). I've
tried to run the vpn client with the fw off and on with no change.

Why does "sip show peers" show my router/gateway address as the client IP address?
Hi Everyone,
I am using pfSense to do firewall and NAT on an Asterisk server. I have
ports 5060 TCP/UDP and 10k-20k UDP forwarded to the Asterisk server local IP
192.168.5.5. However, when a user from outside using Linksys WRP400 ata
connects to the Asterisk server and registers I see them as 192.168.1.1 in
the "sip show peers" command. In face, all many different of the Linksys
