tcpbind and source IP address
Hi all!
I am running asterisk 13.1.0 on Ubuntu server 16.04. There are two IP
addresses from the same subnet set on one interface, and bindaddr is set to
the second on them in sip.conf and in iax.conf.
Incoming connections work as expected. However, for outgoing connections it
seems that asterisk tells the kernel to use the specific "bind" address
only in case of UDP usage (both SIP and

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get calls to record with the following setup:
Using phpagi originate is called from a web application:

$row['phone_number'], "sip-standard", "1", "", "", "7000");
The agent being called is extension Local/101 at

Multiple IP Address
I'm hoping that someone on this list can shed some light on how
Linux/CentOS decides which IP address to report when a Windows desktop
attempts to access it via SAMBA/WINS.
The CentOS system in question is running a single NIC and OpenVPN
which adds two additional virtual NICs. This is a backup system,
there is another CentOS system that acts as the primary VPN server.
The local NIC is

AMI not listening on secondary IP address?
Hi.
I have three servers running corosync and pacemaker, to maintain a floating
address between them. This is working fine, and I can, for example, SSH to the
floating address and get to whichever server has the address at the time.
I am trying to connect to the same server (using the same address) for AMI,
and it just isn't working, even though I can connect to the primary address of

IPv6 and IPv4 binding address on a server with 2 network cards
Hello,
I am doing some tests with asterisk on a dual-stack environment. I have
some doubts regarding asterisk binding addresses on a server with 2
network cards.
According to asterisk documentation:
/; With the current situation, you can do one of four things:/
/; a) Listen on a specific IPv4 address. Example:
bindaddr=192.0.2.1/
/; b) Listen on a specific IPv6 address.

IP forwarding and OpenVPN
I have a CentOS 4 server that acts as a gateway for a small LAN. The
lower half of the 192.168.144 address space is the LAN on eth1, the
upper half is the WAN on eth0, and the default route is to
192.168.144.254 which is my DSL router; this has been working fine for
years.
However, it's recently become convenient to connect the server to a
VPN from time to time, for which I've set up

Virtual IP Adresses and SIP requests failing...
Hey All:
Question; when using a virtual IP on an Asterisk server, I am having trouble
getting sip user to register to the ViP. They are able to register with the
true IP, just not the virtual.
It seems Asterisk is rejecting the SIP invite, register, etc (like it's not
destined for this server)
I've added all the IP's to the domain listing in sip.conf and in the
Asterisk console a

[LLVMdev] Help with Instruction Expansion on Mips
YOu have to look for which DAG fragments are not being matched.
Then you can create patterns for those using alternate sequences.
When you disablea given instruction, don't just disable it, but also
look at what pattern it was matching.
Then create a patten for that using remaining instructions or in some
cases you might have to call a library function, as in the case of

Multiple IP addresses and using same IP for outbound calls as inbound
Hello,
Does anyone know a way with chan_sip to tell Asterisk to use a specific IP
address for its end of the communication for a specific device? Something
like:
[device]
type = friend
host = 11.22.11.22
ouraddress = 33.44.33.44
This is for use on a server with multiple IP addresses. There is the
"extenip" setting, but it's really designed for NAT, and can only appear in

Asterisk 1.6.2.13 - have asterisk reply from same IP address
Hi,
I have a server with multiple IP address, Asterisk binding with all of them.
I'd like Asterisk to reply to a SIP peer from the same IP address as the
peer used to register to Asterisk (as opposed to using the main IP address
all the time regardless of how the peer communicated with Asterisk).
Is this possible? I know it wasn't with 1.4, but I was told 1.6 had

network checksum offloading broken using virtio
Hi,
with recent guest installs (both centos 5 and 7) on centos 7 hosts I
seem to have to disable checksum offloading using "ethtool -K eth0 tx
off" in order to allow traffic to flow a specific route.
Basically the guest is installed with IP 192.168.21.10 and a default
gateway of 192.168.21.254. Up until that point I can ssh into the system
normally.
There exists an OpenVPN System with

OpenVPN routing question
Hello all,
Let's say I have an OpenVPN (v2) server sitting on a Linux machine with the
IP address of, say, 192.168.10.1o. We are talking real address, assigned to
a NIC on the machine.
Now let us say the OpenVPN server hands out IP's in the
192.168.20.0/24range. And let us say that I want the machines able to
reach the VPN server
to be able to route to the machines available via the VPN.

Multiple IP addresses and using same IP for outbound calls as inbound
Hi Dovid,
We can change the SDP in Kamailio, but Asterisk will still send its RTP
from its default address. The remote end is strict about accepting RTP from
the specified source and won't accept it. Have you any suggestions to solve
that problem?
Thank you.
