Disconnect supervision question
I'm trying to use Asterisk as a voice mail system and all is going well except for one issue. When the outside caller drops the connection Asterisk doesn't sense it. It keeps the line open for about 2 minutes before dropping it. The FXO is attached to a key system (hybrid PBX). There was a home-type digital answering machine previously on the same extension and it was able to sense

FXO without answer supervision
Simple question that google hasn't helped much with (likely poor search terms) I just installed a Sangoma A200 with overall good results. Initial tests with both incoming and outgoing calls were very positive. Until I made a normal call that lasted more than 30 seconds. I setup the FXO with kewlstart signalling, and the outgoing call is never registered as 'Answered' and the dial

far end disconnect supervision
I'm starting to shop for my first channel bank and one of the features that eveyone seems to recommend is "far end disconnect supervision". What other terms do various manufactures use to describe this same feature ? Is "calling party disconnect" the same as "far end disconnect supervision" ? Thanks

Alias for country in indications.conf
Hello list, Hope you all doing fine! I've tried to use the 'alias' directive in the indications.conf file but apparently it doesn't work.... It looks like maybe this feature was removed, because old sample for the indications.conf file have example using the alias parameter, but newer samples don't have it anymore.... also I couldn't find any ticket saying this parameter

Disconnect Supervision, SBC, and Adit 600
Can anyone help me with the term that SBC uses to refer to disconnect supervision? I have an Adit 600 channel bank which has helped improve the disconnect detection time down to about 8 seconds. This is still causing some issues in particular with call progress on we are having a few disconnects while calls are in session. I have talked both to some local phone contractors and SBC directly and

UK Disconnect supervision with TDM400P
Hi I know this gets covered fairly regularly, but I've had a search through the archives and can't find anything dealing with this specifically - apologies if I've missed it though. I've got a TDM11B with the fxo port plugged into a standard UK BT PSTN line, loading wcfxs with OPERMODE=UK. All's working well, except if I get an incoming call through my bt line, and the

Disconnect Supervision UK / BT solution?
Hi all I'm using sangoma a200 cards in the UK and have the ongoing, often noted problem of disconnect supervision with BT POTS lines. Just noticed this post on http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/UK+Asterisk+Details stating that potentially someone's got a solution : "TDM400P & Not Detecting Hangups: Got a TDM400P installed and having problems with Asterisk not detecting

Audiocodes - Disconnect Supervision
I have an Audiocodes MP-118FXO in production. When an outbound call is made and the remote party hangs up, the Audiocodes hangs up the call immediately. But if an incoming call is received and the remote party hangs up, the Audiocodes does not hang up immediately. I have tinkered with Current Disconnect and Polarity Reversal settings, to no avail. Anyone experienced this issue with Audiocodes or

Sangoma BRI card -- National ISDN/North America support (Having problems with analog disconnect supervision?)
Hi, folks! Sangoma has an informal user survey up on their home page (at http://www.sangoma.com) asking if people would use their A500 card for North American BRI, if it were supported. I encourage anyone with an interest in voice BRI in North America to vote; this information will be used for deciding whether to make the investment in developing a National ISDN driver layer for it. Can I tell if it hung up due to busydetect or disconnect supervision?
The FXO lines on my TDM400 are connected to PSTN lines in Israel. As far as I know, the lines around here have disconnect supervision (I've seen some other Israelis on this list, anyone know for sure?), because it's worked on Dialogic cards, which reported hangup, not busy detect (while when I connect a Dialogic card to a PBX, I have to measure the busy signal's frequency/cadence or

DAHDI disconnect supervision timing
Ok so this is officially driving me crazy. I have an Asterisk 1.6.1.6 install with DAHDI/DAHDI tools (latest) and an OpenVOX TDM400 card with 1 FXO port and 1 FXS port. I have a POTS line from my phone company attached to the POTS line. I have asked for "disconnect supervision" to be provisioned on my line and they claim to have added it. However, my scenario is as follows: I receive a

New Zealand indications.conf
Hi Vic, I hit that same problem! My SIP phones would sound okay when I made changes to indications.conf but incoming calls in to my TE410P had their own thing going on! Have a look at the zaptel source files, there's one called zonedata.c. You'll see the au settings... replace what's there with this: { 1, "au", "Australia", { 400, 200, 400, 2000 }, { {
