Friday at 1PM: SIPVicious has a new tool: svcrash
Hi,
Got some great news a few days ago from Sandro Gauci (@SandroGauci)
and we'll be talking about this with him this Friday at 1PM.
SIPVicious, the free security tools for SIP scanning, now include a
new tool: svcrash. It is aimed at helping system administrators stop
bandwidth consuming scans making
use of svwar and svcrack. Here is the announcement on SIPViscious blog:

AstriCon Videos and Presentations: First batch is on-line!
This year we recorded quite a few of the AstriCon sessions - 3 out of
the 4 tracks were video taped. The folks at TMC then went through a
fairly painstaking process of synchronizing the video presentations to
the slide decks that each presenter provided, so we have an index-able
and fast-forward-able version of each talk. I'm really excited about
this video presentation method,

Open Source Pavilion at AstriCon: Your project wanted!
Each year at AstriCon, we have an Open Source Pavilion which showcases
projects which are adjuncts to Asterisk, or which are directly
relevant to improving the utility and features of Asterisk. It gives
smaller projects the chance to have some space to display what they're
doing, and to give demonstrations to the AstriCon attendees who are
interested in some of the things happening

Astricon talk on wideband codecs
I missed the talk that was given on wideband codecs @ astricon last week.
I tried to lookup the speaker on astricon.net, but that website seems
horribly broken at the moment, showing only a tmcnet video, whatever
page i click on.
Would somebody have the contact details for that speaker ?
Greetings,

AstriCon videos: a question of method
I'm doing some quick research on how to get our videos from AstriCon
available in a "reasonable" format that allows easy viewing, reduces
our bandwidth costs, and allows good tracking for who/where/what is
viewing the videos.
YouTube seems to have a very nice set of tools and statistics
collection methods, and might be perfect EXCEPT.... Their main
limitation right now

Astricon - let's talk call centers?
Hi list,
I know it's a bit OT, but for those who will be at the Astricon, we
are organizing a very informal meeting (maybe in front of a pint or
two) to talk about Asterisk for call-centers. No marketing or anything
- just a way to exchange ideas and meet f2f.
I created a facebook group to organize it - see

See you in Atlanta!

Asterisk 11.4.0-rc1 refuses to use the TURN server
After struggling with one way audio issues as a result of STUN binding
errors on both the Asterisk side and the Chrome side, we've decided to just
simply go with a TURN relay for RTP packets until the issues are resolved.
I configured rtp.conf so that all of the STUN related entries are commented
out, and I use the following TURN configuration instead:
turnaddr=numb.viagenie.ca:3478
