dnsmgr_lookup
I am using 1.8.3 and changed enable=no on dnsmgr.conf - however I am
still getting log messages
for dnsmgr_lookup. I wasnt expecting that.
I have a server and a couple dedicated machines just running ALSA
connections.
I dont need any dns lookups for anything - who do I disable it?
Thanks
jerry

question on register and dnsmgr_lookup
I "thought" I has everything using IP addresses.
I am not making "outside" calls this is all internal.
I have a connection between two machines both running asterisk.
I am using 1.8.3 and I see a lot of dnsmgr_lookup's for "mymachine".
I have a register line in sip.conf that is the only place mymachine is
referenced.
the actual definition for host= is the IP

Requiring Yum be installed before classes use it as a provider
I''m in the process of creating Puppet classes to install Munin via Yum
on my RHEL4 hosts. Before Yum can be used as a provider, it obviously
needs to be installed.
I''ve tried requring the Yum package in the Munin classes but I still get
an error about "Provider ''yum'' is not functional on this platform".
Is there an easy way to require the yum class

How to install speex codec for Asterisk that is downloaded from Digium Yum Repository?
Hi Everyone,
I have done "yum install speex libspeex-devel speex-devel" and it was
succesful on CentOS. I then tried "yum install asterisk16 asterisk16-addons
asterisk16-configs" but "core show translation" doesn't show speex loaded.
Is there a way to or an option that I can append to the asterisk install to
make sure it compiles with speex in mind?
Thanks,

Is H323 supported when installing Asterisk from Digium Yum repository?
Hi everyone,
Installed asterisk from yum repository but I think H.323 is not supported as
I tried commands like this and they don't work:
- *h.323 debug*: Enable chan_h323 debug
- *h.323 gk cycle*: Manually re-register with the Gatekeper
- *h.323 hangup*: Manually try to hang up a call
- *h.323 no debug*: Disable chan_h323 debug
- *h.323 no trace*: Disable H.323 Stack Tracing

Installing YUM with Puppet
Hi,
I have this small problem with my servers managed by Puppet (i have a
workaround so the problem is not so important):
1) These servers are installed with Red Hat Linux Enterprise and i use
Puppet in client-server mode.
2) I''ve made a Puppet class called "yum" to install (by the RPM
package provider) and configure YUM on my servers. I don''t use the YUM
package

Am I having problems with codecs? or am I not receiving an invite at all from my DID provider?
Hi Guys,
I have Spikko setup as provider of DID and outbound routes and I can make

is reported below. I never receive the call though, I have a catch all in my
inbound routes and it doesn't hit my context at all or not sip invite comes
