PRI Error on span 1: Received MDL/TEI management message, but configured for mode other than PTMP
We are seeing the message " PRI Error on span 1: Received MDL/TEI management message, but configured for mode other than PTMP" on one of our Asterisk boxes on a PRI. A Google search turns up a number of hits for this error, but they are all for BRI not PRI. I'm reasonably sure there are no recent updates or config changes. Running Asterisk 1.4.37. We can update to 1.4.44 if it

B410P: DAHDI BRI PTMP HDLC Abort (6) on Primary D-channel of span 1 (TEI Errors)
Hi all, So, we reverted the LibPRI version and tested it, and then tried with the latest version of everything. Still no changes. The BRI line is in PTMP. If we set the configs to PTMP in the genconf_parameters and try it, we get the following: [Jan 21 17:32:20] ERROR[20341]: chan_dahdi.c:12645 dahdi_pri_error: Unable to receive TEI from network! If we set it to PTP (which it is not) we

Asterisk 1.6, B410P and TE/PtmP mode. Could you get it running ?
Hi, My setup is: IPPhone1 --- Asterisk1 with B410P ---- Patton 4638 --- Asterisk2 --- IPPhone2 I want to evaluate Asterisk1 in TE/PtmP mode. So, Patton box is configured in NT/PtmP (with 3 BRI links between both systems). Anyway, asterisk -rx "pri show spans" keeps replying : PRI span 1/0: Provisioned, Down, Active PRI span 2/0: Provisioned, Down, Active PRI span 3/0: Provisioned,

Which policy for ISDN BRI support in NT/PtMP ?
Hi, As you may know, these ISDN BRI features are very important here in Europe as ISDN Basic Rate Access is very popular among Small & Medium Entreprises. I don't really know why but it seems that in many countries, default is to install small PBX using Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) mode as opposed to Point-to-Point (PtP) which is the norm for PRI. So basically, in several countries, SME

OT - Avantages of ISDN PtP and PtmP
Hi, Reading http://www.asteriskguru.com/tutorials/bri.html , it seems PtP is the way to connect businesses but if you read http://public.swbell.net/ISDN/connect.html you would think the opposite. Can anyone elaborate a bit PtP or PtmP respective advantages ? Cheers -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Hello all Asterisk 1.2.10 BRIstuff PRE-1s Debian sarge I have an issue with my ISDN-BRI line. Asterisk tells me my D-Channel is down, no matter is I have an actual line plugged in or not. == Primary D-Channel on span 1 down I somehow got it to work once! The config tools do not indicate any errors whatsoever. Here is a rundown of various listings I can think about. (some things may show

zaphfc / incoming call - error 6
Hi Folks, I've Asterisk Bristuffed up and running behind an Auerswald Commander Basic ISDN PBX on the internal ISDN Bus (BRI/PTMP). The HFC Card works marvelleous for outgoing calls (as the parallely installed avm fritzcard with chan_capi does), but when I'm trying to call in, I get a short ring signal and then the connection is terminated. This does not happen with chan_capi and

Asterisk 10/1.6.1 and Dahdi/Libpri compatilities in BRI /PtmP
Hi, After an upgrade, I discovered yesterday strange things I would like to share here. Basically, I'me comparing platforms: The first one is a 2.6.26 (Debian Lenny) platform, with Asterisk 1.6.1.18, Libpri 1.4.10.2, Dahdi revision 8853 (must be between 2.3 and 2.5, I think). The second one is a 2.6.32 (Debian Squeeze) platform, with Asterisk 10.5.1, Libpri 1.4.12, Dahdi 2.6.1. Both are

B410P, dahdi in TE, PtmP mode ?
Hi, I've read that the new dahdi channel supporting B410P doesn't support PtmP when in NT mode. Does it support PtmP when in TE mode ? HFS in NT mode getting PRI got event: 6 on Primary D-Channel of span 1
Hello list We're trying to get a HFC card running in NT mode. Zaphfc loads fine as module and ztcfg -v is run only once per reboot. Cabling is ok, the ISDN-TE gets ist power fine. The HFC card does not share any interupts. After the TE picks up the console (pri debug enabled) shows: Nov 21 18:42:20 NOTICE[13326]: chan_zap.c:7169 pri_dchannel: PRI got event: 6 on Primary D-channel of span 1

Which dahdi/libpri combo for BRI/PtmP ?
Hi, I need to rebuild a system which has 4 BRI ports and is connected to Point-to-multiPoint lines, in a country where telco often "drop lines for energy savings". I'm planning to use latest 11.4.0 asterisk version along with dahdi and libpri (no misdn). Which version are recommended for Dahdi and Libpri ? My main requirements are, beside having calls coming in and out: - keep a

PRI D-channel signalling error? "Ring reques ted onchannel 0/1 a lready in use on span 1. Hanging up owner."
Now that's quite interesting - yes, this is a two way span. I thought that the D-channel negotiation that happens before the B-channel is set up would have implicitly avoid the glare condition through signalling the intent-to-use to the resource to the remote end (a-la E&M wink start). So what seems to be happening in my case is my CPE is set for a 'Descending' b channel sequence

Dahdi and BRI NT PtmP [SOLVED]
So the bottom is : NT PtmP works with Dahdi 2.5 and Asterisk 1.8 ! Though I can't check this by myself at the moment, I'm adding a SOLVED note in this reply to let others be aware, just in case. Thanks for replying ! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Fw: Re: mISDN BRI Asterisk 1.4
Have you got termination set correctly? I have a B410P working with 2 x NT and 2 x TE ports successfully. I had to turn the 100ohm termination on on the NT ports (even though I have them set as PTP in mISDN.conf). I have a serious problem that repeats very often, after 30 - 50 calls and I can only solve it by stopped and restarting * :-( After a while, * seems to loose track of something. When an ISDN call from PBX needs to go to the Telco, I get 'Ring requested on unconfigured channel 255/255 span 2' It's always channel 255/255 ??, the 'span' number is random Setup: * between Local
