app_jack unavailable
Hello, I am new to Asterisk, so please bear with me. I have made a success installation from source of Asterisk 14.4.0 on Debian Jessie (8.7). And I am running the Asterisk server, with several extensions and dialplans, all working well. However I am struggling to get app_jack to run. In menuselect I can see that it is XXX due to dependencies on jack and resample, however both Debian packages:

app_jack and calling with pc only
Hello everyone! Sorry, if the whole task is silly, I'm new to this. I have my newly installed asterisk (1.6.0-beta9) and my AVM Fritz a1 card. I have a simple German isdn line and I have a microphone, headphones and a running JACKd (JACK Aduio Connection Kit). The question: Can I (mis)use my asterisk CLI interface to make and recieve calls coming in/going out via the ISDN-card,

Still no(isy) app_jack in the box
Hello everyone! So now I'm testing with chan_sip and I discovered, that I can make calls, even if they're only listed as active channels. But JACK just emmits white noise, with a highger frequency than 8kHz, in my believe. A call with app_record shows, that the signal is clear and very ear friendly though. So how to proceed from here? What can I do to help someone look into

Persuing the gtalk issue - not only jack-related
Hello everyone! So I hacked app_jack.c today, as best I could. Whic came mostly down to inserting ast_log() messages. I discovered the following with JACK: When it starts, it tries to read 512 bytes and only gets 0. That clears up after a while. Sometimes a good time later than the reading comes the writing. And there the real strangeness might begin. Because usually the framebuffer

I tried the next configurations : 1 ) app_jack.so -> does not work. 2 ) chan_alsa.so without jackd started my .asoundrc : pcm.!default { type hw card 1 } pcm.jack1 { type jack playback_ports { 0 alsa_pcm:playback_1 1 alsa_pcm:playback_2 } capture_ports { 0 alsa_pcm:capture_1 1

Unsolvable segmentation fault
I cannot use wine with my windows partition. Whenever I try it , I immediatly get segmentation fault messagens (even when trying to run notepad.exe). If I modify the ~/.wine/dosdevices/c: simlink then wine seems to work well (but this is not a good solution, because I want wine to find programs and dlls in my windows partition). I use kurumin (a brazillian distro based on KNOPPIX. It is basically

ices-kh60: latency bug
hello, I've just got ices-kh60 running with jack. It's working OK apart from a problem where the latency on the stream creeps up from about 15-20 secs to around 7 minutes. The stream plays OK, but the audio coming out is 7 minutes behind what goes in. I'm not sure how this can be happening, seeing as I don't think there are any buffers that long in the system, but it is.

wine+wineasio under mac os x 10.6
I've been using JackWASIO and 10.5 Leopard fine, but since I switched to Snow Leo 10.6 I can't find a way to use wineasio low latency driver at all. Have tried to install some version of Wine (that comes with WineBottler) and a new CrossOver Games 8.0 but no luck: wineasio doesn't appear in the Audio preferences of winecfg. Is there a clear way (for someone who aren't in developing

compilation of asterisk 1.4.19 with ilbc already on system
I already have ilbc installed on my system. The files are: /usr/include/ilbc/iLBC_decode.h /usr/include/ilbc/iLBC_define.h /usr/include/ilbc/iLBC_encode.h /usr/lib/libilbc.a /usr/lib/libilbc.la /usr/lib/libilbc.so -> libilbc.so.0.0.0 /usr/lib/libilbc.so.0 -> libilbc.so.0.0.0 /usr/lib/libilbc.so.0.0.0 However, if I do a "make" in asterisk-1.4.19, it will not detect that libilbc.a

CentOS for musicians?
Hello, still searching but didn't find very precise answers yet, is there a computer-aided musical creation -oriented flavor of CentOS (like the Ubuntu Studio)? Or would it be about gathering stuff from different repos and setting up everything by hand? A repository that would provide low-latency kernel (realtime one?): I've found the CentOS-RT from the CERN + (1)). Specific tools (from

Audio Resampling Library Suggestions?
Can anyone recommend a good library for performing audio downsampling? I intend to start playing around with "libresample" (http://ccrma-www.stanford.edu/~jos/resample/README-libresample-0.1.3.txt), as well as taking a look at "Secret Rabbit Code" (http://www.mega-nerd.com/SRC/), but I'd love some opinions before I get too involved with either. Free would be best, but

ext3 + pipes/sockets
Hi, I'm running jack+ardour and noticed the following: Jackd uses named pipes and sockets which are located on /tmp. If I mount /tmp as ext3 I get latency problems. When I mount /tmp as ext2 everything works fine. As far as I know named pipes and sockets have no disk interaction. What is the difference? Mick

CPU load
Hello all, I want to stream multiple live programs. For that purpose the analog signal of radio program must be digitalized and encoded. I'm using RME HDSP 9652 (with 26 input channels) soundcard for capturing the sound. For encoding I'm using jackified version of ices (ices-kh) and JACK server to connect multiple ices processes to the soundcard. My operating system is Linux Mandrake

jingle with Asterisk + PSTN
Hi All I am developing a client that uses libjingle to do xmpp stuff with ejabberd. I can also make audio calls between those clients. What I am trying to archive now is to send calls to pstn using jingle. I was told in the jingle-dev community that asterisk can do that. Is there any way to send jingle audio calls to asterisk and will it understand them ? If yes..can I forward those calls to PSTN

possible regression in wine1.2-rc7 - GUI and VSTs
hello, I have been using wine for quite a while, with many applications. mostly though, i am using wine for VST support via wineASIO. For the most part, this method works extremely well. many of the plugins i use work pretty much flawlessly. the only real exception is that occasionally the VST's GUI will cause an xrun in jackd. this hardly ever matters, as most of the time i am not using
