Polycom 500 / MWI
All, I'm using Asterisk 1.6 and using Polycom 500's with SIP firmware 2.1.3. I can not seem to get the Message Waiting Indicator to work reliably (and in my opinion correctly) with voicemail. I've got the following in my phone.cfg: <reginfo> <msg msg.bypassInstantMessage="1"> <mwi msg.mwi.1.callBack="*97"

UPDATE - Analog Phones with FSK/Stutter MWI
After purchasing the Uniden TRU9480 and then the Panansonic 5672, both of which do not have "phone company" compatible FSK/stutter MWI, I finally got smart and found out just which Panasonic phones have this feature. Only the following 5.8G models in their current line have FXO compatible MWI. I purchased the 5771 unit and one remote. I have confimed it does in fact work with Asterisk

MWI on Zap analog phone not lighting
We are using Bellsouth 8867 phones on our TDM400B FXS lines (asterisk-1.0.3). It has a "Voicemail" light, which appears to be MWI (according to the manual it works with voicemail from the telco that sends a FSK signal). The dialtone stutters when a line has voicemail, so I know that I have the mailbox setting right in zapata.conf, but the light doesn't go on. I am also getting

Native bridging analog phones trouble DAHDI channels.
I own a TDM2400 board, with three FXO modules and one FXS. I'am having trouble with analog sip phones, from two different equipment. (Grandstream GXW-4024 192.168.0.105, and Audiocodes MP202), sometimes when I am calling someone, then I press flash, and then call someone else, both calls stay connected after I hang up. DAHDI Caller ID problem
Aloha, I'm finishing up the final touches on this install, and have run into an odd problem. I can't seem to get Caller ID on the analog phone lines working. It's a Digium AEX 410 card. I have Verbose set and a line to print the CID: I have usecallerid=yes and callerid=asreceived set in both chan_dahdi.conf and users.conf [analog] include=>default exten =>

Configure DAHDI with TDM410 for analog Modem calls
Hello, I am currently trying to configure an Asterisk (current 1.4) box with a TDM410P and 2 FXS as well as 2FXO modules. An analog modem is directly connected to the TDM (port 4) which itself is directly connected to the PSTN (port 1). [V.34 Modem]-----[TDM on Ast. 1.4 TDM]---PSTN When I try to establish an analog modem connection with this setup, the modem is unable to connect to the remote

Caller ID on analog line
Hello, I'm new to asterisk and trying to set up a PBX that's connected to ISDN on the telecom operator side (Swisscom, Switzerland) and has analog line on the local side. I use Digium B410PF and AEX2460EF cards. Globally, everything is working well except that I can't get the CID sent to the analog phone. I tried with all combinations of options I could think of and several asterisk

Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) for remote voice mail?
I have Asterisk voice mail setup locally. It works great, I'm impressed! Some details about my system: I'm using a TDM22B card to interface with both the PSTN and a VOIP provider. I'm running 1.2-beta from CVS. I have a regular VTech phone plugged into one of the FXS ports. Asterisk is able to indicate when a local voicemail message is waiting via the LCD display of my analog phone.

DAHDI not detecting hangup
I've got an old analog PBX and I'm trying to connect an FXO port on my asterisk server to one of the extensions on the old PBX. This should work as en extension on the old PBX should be providing dialtone, battery current and ring voltage. However, when the old PBX "hangs up" asterisk doesn't appear to be detecting the hangup (the DAHDI channel stays in use). Can anyone

How to notify that a message is waiting using RingTones with a Dahdi-connected analog phone ?
Hi, I'm wondering how I could notify to a dumb analog phone that a voicemail message is waiting. My goal would be to change the tone that is heard just before user starts to dial. Any idea on that ?
