Performing actions in parallel
Hello, I have been running multiple exec scripts that could run in parallel. Does puppet run as much as possible in parallel? If it does not, is there a way to specify that actions may be run in parallel? Also, is puppet a multiple or single thread application? replication of a big mailbox
I'm running dovecots replicator successfully on 33 mailboxes. There is only one mailbox (the biggest one, 167000 mails) that is not replicating successfully. After 10 minutes the "source" starts logging these messages: dovecot: dsync-local(foo at example.com): Error: dsync(imap.netsend.nl): I/O has stalled, no activity for 600 seconds dovecot: dsync-local(foo at example.com):

Upload Size Limiting Handler
I have written a mongrel handler that monitors the content length of a given url''s request and redirects them if they are over a certain limit. The idea is to throttle the maximum size of an uploaded file. Using the process method on HttpHandlerPlugin I am able to make this work the only downside is that the whole file is still uploaded. I would much prefer to inspect the http header

replication notification with chroot users
I'm getting the following error when using dovecot replication: dovecot: imap(foo at bar.com): Error: open(/var/dovecot/replication-notify-fifo) failed: No such file or directory I guess this has something to do with the fact that every user is chrooted in it's own homedir. Does dsync support dsync notification when all users are chrooted? lmtp does not seem to have this problem so new

Patch sensible callback framework
This patch adds a simple callback framework. Modified loadfile and floadfile to look for callbacks and call them if present Supports multiple callbacks Modified com32/modules/linux.c to demonstrate functionality (it's a little more complicated than it should be just to demonstrate multiple callbacks). Add progress argument to display a percentage indicator when loading. Example boot:

cancel running request
Hi everybody, I''m making a plugin to limit the maximum request size (for file uploads). Instead of canceling the request after it''s completely in (with the method ''process''). I would like to cancel it based on the CONTENT_LENGTH in the method request_begins. Usability thingie ;-) how can i cancel the running request and send a response, instead of waiting?

slightly speeding up readChar()
Hi, I was trying to have R read files faster with readChar(). That was before I noticed that readChar() is not that bad! In any case, below I suggest a few simple changes that will make readChar slightly faster. I followed readChar(useBytes=T), and tried to identify all O(N) operations, where N is the size of the file. The assumption is that for LARGE files we want to avoid any O(N) operations,

Sending files from mobile to CentOS via Bluetooth
Has anyone here managed to send files from a mobile phone to a CentOS system via Bluetooth? I'm trying with a Samsung E1310, using the GNOME tools, but can't get it to work. I can send files from the Linux box to this phone using the Nautilus bluetooth plugin (nautilus-sendto-bluetooth), and have also managed to "pull" some data I've been trying to send, via

Writing a mod_put HttpHandler
I''m looking at writing a Mongrel handler that mimics the behavior of the Apache mod_put [1]. It allows for the streaming upload of very large (GB) files; it also supports resumable upload. Before I get too involved, I''d like to ask if my reading of the mongrel source code is correct, i.e. what I want to do isn''t currently possible. Looking at the class
