to use the homes function of Samba and I want user's to authenticate
against my AD domain. I am having a problem making the server a member
server of my domain.
I tried using the smbpasswd command and got the error about trying net
join for this action. Also, is there anything else I have to do to get

Pattern matching....
Will this work to match any number from the 770,404, or 678 area codes?
_[404|770|678]NXXXXXX
If this won't work, is there a pattern that will do this?

I need someone to explain how the dialplan rules work? I'm having a hard
time getting it. I know that to dial out you need a 9 and to ignore that 9
once your out... requires a switch of sorts that tells asterisk to ignore

Yes, I know... I have a similar setup (same version of samba, same
hardware, same OS but a different windows domain on a different
network) that is working fine.

Found this solution. It is maybe not the most elegant way, but it does the
job.

convert Factor as numeric
Dear group,
I know this issue has been already covered, and before you reply I must say
I have read the R-FAQ and search the mailing list archive.
I still can't manage to change my factor to numeric as I couldn't find any
clear answer.
Here is my df :

Interesting interaction between source and ensure in file definition in function...
Given the following:
file { "/my/file":
source => "puppet://server/path/to/some/file",
ensure => absent
}
Puppet will copy /my/file to the host.
What I was hoping was that ensure => absent would trump a source file.
However, if we change the above slightly like this:
file { "/my/file":
source =>

want to set a var in sip.conf
i have extensions in locations across a number of telco area codes.
when someone in seattle picks up and dials 91234567, it would be
nice to transform it to 92061234567. i would prefer not to have
an extension context per area code. it would be cool to be able
to set a variable in the sip.conf bit for each phone with it's
geographic default area code.
or other folk may have a better hack.

net ads and wbinfo are painfully slow -- but they work
I just created a windows domain. it is essentially empty except for a

configured samba to connect using ads.
net ads join took > 5 minutes - but worked fine
net ads testjoin takes ~5 minutes - shows a good join
wbinfo -u takes ~5 minutes and shows the users
During the long wbinfo pause, the log show: "Starting

*I just recently migrated our web server to Red Hat 8.0 running Samba 2.2.7

In windows, a user copy or moves files to there home directory on the server
running samba. The file seems to copy or move fine (It is visible when
accessing the share from explorer), but if I telnet to the server the file
is not in the user's home directory. I have tailed the

tcptop fail to run
Hello all,
i''m trying to run the tool tcptop from the dtracetoolkit but it fails.
I got the following error:

I let it run on different machines on a Ultra 45 and a E20K both with Solaris 10 same result.

I am using Queue application with multiple agents in each queue. I
want to set the CDR(userfield) for each cdr based on the agent
answering the call. Is it possible to do this?
