T1, FoneBRIDGE, and dropped D-Channel
I hope someone can help me out with this issue. It has been dogging me
for months and I can't seem to get it to go away.
I have a Rhino Ceros box running Asterisk 1.4.21.2 connected via eth0
(nVidia MCP61 Ethernet) to a RedFone FoneBRIDGE2 dual-port with EC. The
FB is the latest hardware rev and the latest firmware. I'm running the
latest fonulator version and I'm running Zap-1.4.11

[BULK] Fonebridge2
We tried them out early last year when we were looking at a large deployment and they gave us a lot of the redundancy that we wanted. However we did run into issues where calls seemed to get caught up in the system. It was as far as we could tell rather random. No consistency to it at all. Asterisk hung up the call but the telco side of the line didn't actually hang up. The channel was left

Experiences with FoneBridge2 / TDMoE?
I'm scoping out HA for a relatively simple Office/Call Center PBX. Current
setup uses a TE412P with 4 PRI our telco with SIP hard/soft phones for
users. Some outbound also goes to a SIP provider.
Active/Active looks to be too much hassle for an installation this size, so
we're looking at adding an extra * in an active/passive configuration with
Linux-HA in between them.
Does anyone

Moving from Redfone's Fonebridge to Allo 2nd Gen PRI card
We have been running around than 40 asterisk servers running on Debian
Squeeze for last three years, handling traffic of more than few
hundred thousand calls per day.
Our setup's PRI-banks were using Redfone's Fonebridge. We had PRIs
from multiple telephony providers. And Redfone's Fonebridge handled
all that easily.
But all good things come to end. Redfone's Fonebridge was not

Help 60Hz Hum?
Hey guys,
I am trying to diagnose a hum in my FXO lines
I am using an Adtran 750 with 8 FXO ports. I am getting a pretty bad hum
on the line during a call.
I have checked the Telco side of the 66 block and there is no hum there
so it's my problem to fix.
I have tried to lower the gain but that reduces the call volume to much.
Where else should I be looking?
Setup as follows

Hardware question about Redfone's foneBridge
I am looking for input on wether the 4 port T-1 foneBridge is a useful
device in a asterisk deployment. Would it be better to loadup a extra
asterisk server to trunk the T-1's via IAX or is TDMoE safe in production
enviroments. We are only looking at 2 T-1's, one for pstn and the other to a
channel bank. Any advice?

Fonebridge2
Hello List
Does anybody have any experience with the FoneBridge line of products from RedFone?
I think their HA implementation sounds interesting, and like the prospect of having dedicated hardware for our PRI connections.
Kind Regards

foneBRIDGE2 vs. foneBRIDGE2-EC
Hello,
I'm trying to decide between the foneBRIDGE2 ($1135) and foneBRIDGE2-EC
($1610).
Has anyone here directly compared the two? Would we really suffer
without the onboard echo cancellation? The manufacturer's site doesn't
really give much helpful information about choosing one over the other.
Thanks.

Disabled echo canceller because of tone (rx)
Does anyone know what this means? It is in DMESG, and we have
people complaining about echo.

Echo cancel: chan_misdn vs bristuff? HFC card vs expensive card?
Hello everyone.
I've got a HFC ISDN card that I'm using with chan_misdn and it basically
behaves like crap. Echo is waaay worst then echo I get TDM400 card,
sound is "choppy" (there other side is allays complaining about sound
interruptions) and to top it all it detects fake DTMF's all the time.
Is this a chan_misdn problem or is it a card problem? I really need to

Problems with Speex echo canceller in 1.1.10
Jean-Marc,
BTW, the problem #1 is not unique to the speex echo canceller. It has also occurred on other ec's I've tried, most recently the CANEC ec from dspalgorithms.com.

echo canceller in win32
Hi all,
speex is great, echo canceller in speex is great, when I test echo canceller with testecho.c, it is much better then the echo canceller demo in intel IPP 5.1,but when I use the echo canceller in a real voice chat program for win32(16khz,20ms,winmm or portaudio or directsound), it is not work. Who can help me? I will pay money for a demo using dsound with source code. Thanks a lot.

Preserving echo canceller state between two connections?
I wish to preserve the state of the echo canceller engine when it is in a
converged state, in order to use this for a later, separate VoIP
connection. However, any jitter in processing delay from playback to
record might make this impossible.
From the manual:
Latency and algorithmic delay
Every speech codec introduces a delay in the transmission. For Speex, this
delay is equal to the

Speex echo canceller on TI C55 DSP
Jean-Marc,
I recently started looking at running the echo canceller on a TI C55 DSP
along with the 8kbps narrowband Speex encoder/decoder. This is one of those
"braindead compilers" that you refer to from time to time, and cannot handle
the float struct assignments in the return statements in pseudofloat.h.
Most of these were eliminated in build 11311 (patch by Brian Retford), but

Hi, thanks. One question did you use these 2 functions

speex_echo_capture
No, I didn't use them. I use my own code to buffer microphone and speaker
data.

I saw the other thread, my problems happened in different (but similar)

TDM2400p and HW echo canceller
Do the zaptel drivers need to be told >NOT< to use the software echo
canceller when using a TDM2400p card with hardware echo canceller, or
does the driver figure this out by itself?
Thanks,
Andrew

how does the echo canceller deal with playback/capture delays?
hello jean-marc and everybody,
I keep getting no results when trying to use speex_echo_capture,
speex_echo_playback and speex_echo_cancel in a multi-threaded application, as
suggested in the manual. Though, the cancellation works properly when i use a
file with human voice for far-end input and the same file with echo added in
SoundForge for mic input. When i try to insert and remove silence
