asterisk slows down when unplugging internet cable with VoIP lines
Hi, I have an Asterisk 1.2.9.1 on a Debian Sarge distro connected to a VoIP provider via internet. I noticed Asterisk gets slow and behaves in strange manner if I unplug my internet cable from the PBX: for example I get incoming calls after seconds or I get no audio during calls. I thought it was something connected to DNS resolution so I put VoIP provider addresses inside /etc/hosts but

non-differentiable evaluation points in nlminb(), follow-up of PR#15052
This is a follow-up question for PR#15052 <http://bugs.r-project.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=15052> There is another thing I would like to discuss wrt how nlminb() should proceed with NAs. The question is: What would be a successful way to deal with an evaluation point of the objective function where the gradient and the hessian are not well defined? If the gradient and the hessian both

Routing between networks
Problem: I have four networks, A, B, C, and D Networks B, C, and D should not be able to see each other. Network A should be able to see all of them. A - 172.16.1.1/24 B - 172.16.2.1/24 C - 172.16.3.1/24 D - 172.16.0.1/24 For host machine X, which is at 172.16.1.100/24 (network A), I added a route for it to ping a machine (Y) on the network B:     ip route add 172.16.2.0/24 via

Re :Re: Sip module and dns (Alyed)
Just for the sake of this thread I'll paste part of the last post regarding this issue in the asterisk bug tracker. kpfleming on 2005-03-10 post: "Essentially, what we are saying is that if you are going to use DNS to resolve critical information in your Asterisk configuration, you need to do everything possible to ensure that the DNS lookups will not block for long periods of time.

H323 situation
Hi all, I have this installation: Asterisk 1.6.1.1 with h323 support, pwlib_v1_10_3 and openh323_v1_18_0. I have a problem that is, when a call comes from H323 and goes to a Sip phone the asterisk sends two rtp streams to the sip. I checked this with tcpdump, save the payload (voice is in G711u), one is the ringing indication and the other is the voice coming from the user in h323 side. And

(Again) Some trouble with dovecot 2.1(.7) and SASL
The parentheses in the subject are due to referral to this discussion on the mailing list: http://dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2012-February/063851.html At first I thought I found the problem, but then realized this was 2012 and the suggested patch already is applied in dovecot. I also have segault messages in my kernel log; not too many, but it was enough to dig for it: > Wed Jun 25 08:29:05
