Only silence trying to play streaming MOH
I am having trouble getting streaming MOH to work. As far as I can tell I have everything configured properly but there is only silence. Your help is appreciated. I am running Asterisk 1.8.11-cert10 with mpg123 1.12.1 to play the stream (I have tried
madplay, and mpg321, and I compiled streamplayer as well with the same results). I started by finding a working stream and tested this from the shell

answer to recent post
Hi there, I just saw this post on the mailing list.
Quite some users in the broadcast industry use our "Instreamer", a
real-time embedded mp3 encoder. It has an S/PDIF interface (unfortunately
no AES/EBU) but there are inexpensive converters from AES/EBU to S/PDIF.
And the Instreamer itself is also considered very inexpensive.

a dedicated audio encoder
Hi!
I've just set up Raspberry Pi with external USB soundcard and the
Darkice encoder. Seems to be working just fine (25% CPU utilization).
Check this for a writeup on that:

mp3 queue problem
Hi!
I'm using Icecast to stream ogg and mp3 audio streams.
Usually i cast 4-5 ogg streams at time but yesterday i added 3 mp3
streams to my server.
After several hours the mp3 (and only mp3) ones stop to work with no
apparent reason.
The only strange thing i could observe is that the recv-Q showed in
netstat is full of data that can't be handled by icecast
and the quantity of data

I compiled asterisk under arm-linux. i am using asterisk 1.4.2. i can run ./configure and menuselect with embedded modules. but running make comes out errors:

a dedicated audio encoder
Hi,
In our design of Icecast2, our multiple sources will stream their high quality audio via a dedicated audio encoder (not a computer):
Live audio > L+R microphone > pre amplifier > audio encoder > Icecast2 VPS
So far I have a shortlist of 4 possible brands of audio encoders: Sonifex PS-SEND, Barix Instreamer, Bric-Link, Outcaster OC100.
All have their pro's and cons.

a dedicated audio encoder
Hi Thomas,
As per your question "Out of curiosity do any of those support anything else than MP3?" - - > answer is yes.
See attached link an overview of 6 hardware audio encoders (Link to pmg file via WeTransfer http://we.tl/w0H6HJsxLd ).
All offer various output formats, not all matching ICECAST input requirements. Not all offer an authentication on mount level. Price

Introduction + Patch
Hi,
I'm new here so an introduction. I'm Stefan de Konink, I have a diverse
past, present and future in coding, content creation and a background in
speech research. As introduced on #celt I want to do some promotion for
the codec.
I was positively surprised by the availability of something 'almost
done' and totally usable in the form of celtclient.c, attached is a tiny

Cannot compile 1.4.2 on Slackware 7
Hi All,
I am trying to upgrade an old Asterisk installation to 1.4.2 (it's
currently running CVS-08/02/04-15:15:26) but have hit a couple of
problems.
The first was easily fixed. I got "storage size of sin isn't known"
errors whilst compiling streamplayer.c, but after seeing

I manually added "#include <netinet/in.h>"

Hardware-based Icecast source client
Yes the barix extreamers work fine with icecast. I used to use them as studio to transmitter links for a radio station.

Help on extract paramters from fitted models
Hi, I have a question about how to extract paramters from a fitted model. I
can extract coefficients and std, but from some other statistics, I dont
know how to extract. Can anyone help?
Here it is an example:

Call:
coxph(formula = Surv(t, t.censor) ~ x)
coef exp(coef) se(coef) z p

Metadata: populating StreamUrl
Howdy Folks:
Is there a way in v2.4.2 to include a ?StreamUrl=? field in the stream metadata as well as ?StreamTitle=?? It appears that the administrative interface only populates StreamTitle.
For example:
http://server.example.com:8000/admin/metadata?mount=MyMount&mode=updinfo&song=MySong
will insert only ?StreamTitle=MySong?;.
Googling around has brought up some possible
