Below are the steps I took which might help others. 1) Download the PCI AVM drivers from ftp://ftp.avm.de/cardware 2) Download the Chan_capi from http://www.junghanns.net/asterisk/ 3) tar -xvzf fcpci-suse8.0-03.09.10.tar.gz which

chan_capi-cm, Euro ISDN bus: 2 extensions on same BRI port not working
Hello, I am using a system with an AVM ISDN PCI card (fcpci) and asterisk with chan_capi-cm-0.6. The hardware is connected to a Siemens Hipath 3550 PBX. As a BRI connection has 2 channels and allows 2 simultaneous calls, numbers/MSNs 6391 and 6392 were for provisioned for each channel. The system is working (partly, read on), the trick is the correct cable wiring and setup the PBX's port

Kernel panic with two Fritz cards
So I've got a PBX running with one Fritz card with the fcpci module and that works fine, but add another one and... kersplat... Kernel Panic. It boots fine with two cards, but panics as soon as the first fcpci.ko module is 'modprobe'd - I don't even get as far as modprobing the second. Any ideas on what's going on? Should I just back-up to an older version of the fcpci module

chan_capi question
Hi all, I've finally taken the plunge and had isdn installed. It's a BRI from Telewest in the UK. I'm told by the provider that it's in point to multipoint mode with 6 digit presentation. I'm using an AVM fritz (bt speedway) with the fcpci-suse9.1-3.11-02 driver. Chan_capi seems to be installed fine. I can receive incoming calls. However, I can't call out. When ever i

Problem with ISDN Dialin via CAPI
Hello List, because this is my first post to this list, i'd like to introduce myself. My name is Thorsten M?ller, 26 years old and live near Frankfurt/Main in germany. Okay, now to the reason for this posting: I just installed my first asterisk server (Debian 2.2 Kernel 2.4.18-686) with AVM ISDN Fritz PCI card (passive). Can only call asterisk once
I have Asterisk RC2 setup here with a Fritz ISDN card on Debian Woody. I'm using chan_capi-0.3.5 and fcpci-suse8.2-03.11.02. Settings are pretty much the default, except in order to get the fcpci module to compile, I had to follow the instructions here: http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk%20AVM%20Fritz%20CAPI%20Driver%20Install but the drivers would only compile if I left

2 x Fritz!pci card
Hello, Has anybody installed 2 Fritz pci cards in an asterisk box ? I can't make them work : each card is working fine when installed alone (with chan_capi), but I get a kernel freeze when doing 'insmod' with both cards installed. I am using Mandrake 10.1 with kernel 2.6, so the hack described at http://www.quiss.org/caiviar/Two-Fritzcards-HOWTO cannot be used (the hack requires

Crossed lines - a worrying problem.
Hi all, I have just received the following e-mail from an Asterisk user: "I just made a call via BT to a mobile. Then an incoming call came in and Ann else answered it - it made my call go completely fuzzy and I could hear what the woman on the other line was saying to Ann but I couldn't hear my conversation! When Ann's call finished - mine went even fuzzier and all I could hear

S100U / wcusb Zaptel driver / Crash / Kernel problem maybe?
Hi Everyone, I've been using Asterisk now for a few months for my small office (which is mostly just me while other guys are always on the road so we rely heavily on telephones) - I'm very excited with Asterisk as it can do everything I've ever wanted to do with a PBX. I'm having a problem with an S100U USB --> Telephone interface. I haven't actually made it work yet

Hello all, I would like to know about the support for this ISDN passive card AVM Fritz-PCI v2.0 with Asterisk: 1. which drive should I use with Asterisk: isdn4linux or capi4linux from AVM (I read some messages on the asterisk-users archives but I didn't find the answer) 2. if the drive is isdn4linux then HiSAX support (for passive cards) is enough ? and the device /dev/ttyI0 (for
