New Open Source CTI client for Asterisk
Hallo everybody, today i've released the very first (and very alpha :-) version of ABCTI, a CTI solution for Asterisk written in python, using pyGTK and py-Asterisk. It talks directly to the Manager API, so no additional software is required on the Asterisk server. You can find it on Sourceforge as http://abcti.sourceforge.net Basic functionality is already there: Originate, Transfer,

Logon Musings
I'm toying with the idea of writing a Samba-oriented Win95/98/NT logon window. I know it's possible to replace Windows' logon mechanism with another. Novell's Client32 does this. I know there's also standards to make a network service available to Windows' change-password mechanism (so I can fire smbpasswd on the other side). That could be an alternative to establishing

D-Link announces Asterisk on Router/DSL-Modem
Found this today: D-Link has apparently positioned itself to challenge the AVM Fritz!Box (which is an analog & ISDN home PBX including DSL modem, router, LAN & WLAN). The PBX service of this device called "HorstBox Professional" DVA- G3342SB will be provided by Asterisk, and it should become available sometime around Q2/2006 for aprox. 450 EUR (let me add that this is twice as

Sip + Cisco 7940/7960 + Panel + DND + queues
Hi all, Running bristuffed 1.2.4 system with solely Cisco 7940/7960 phones with SIP. I'm using also op_panel 0.25 (snapshot). I'm using * queues. I want to properly implement DND via *78 and *79. I'm using op_panel's documentation RECIPE 1 solution with astdb and dnd variables and this is fine for FOP. The DND works in normal cases, since I catch it with my Macro dialsip, HOWEVER

Does anyone know how to use the DND feature oc Cisco 7940/7960
Hi all, I have looked at cisco docs and it says DND is set by pressing the services button and choosing DND. Does anyone know how to configure DND in the services.xml file. I've googled around and not found anything. When you enable it in SIPDefault.cnf it just allows you to use it once. Many thanks for all your amazing work. Daniel Niasoff

Poisson Regression
Hello everyone, I wanted to ask if there is an R-package to fit the following Poisson regression model log(\lambda_{ijk}) = \phi_{i} + \alpha_{j} + \beta_{k} i=1,\cdots,N (subjects) j=0,1 (two levels) k=0,1 (two levels) treating the \phi_{i} as nuinsance parameters. Thank you very much -- -Tony [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Dump Analysis -- when NCR server frozen by rsync
Hi, rsync was running against filesystems /disk5 and /disk7 to back them onto remote server (172.16.101.4) using the following script: if [ `ps -ef | grep -v grep | grep ::d5 | /usr/bin/wc -l` -eq 0 ] then rm -f /etc/rsync5.log echo " --- Disk5 --- starts `date`" > /etc/rsync5.log /usr/local/bin/rsync -a --recursive --compress /disk5/ 172.16.101.4::d5 >> /etc/rsync.log echo
