Bye, bye Windows .... almost
If I can get this application to run under Mandriva I can kiss Windows goodbye. Yeah. The application is called MB Navigator. It is a stand alone stock trading application linking me to my brokers servers. The application installed great. Upon executing the program is starts up just fine then I get this error: Can't create object:ADOC command I can't produce a log.txt file because the

bye-bye
*** Excuse me guys... I'm afraid the more technical aspects of the previous discussions are over my head like a wild pitch and/or or the moon and the stars -- but is there an actual, COMPILED binary version of "oggenc" available anywhere (if it's just pages of raw code, forget it -- I had enough trouble with various mutations of BASIC)? If so, where might I find it?

Bye Bye, Observers
Observers will be no more as of Rails 4, farewell, never been much of a fan. However, I''m using it in one of my gems which enables model attributes for use with a WYSIWYM editor. The resulting markup is persisted, but in order to use it in a view, it has to be nokogiried in a helper which fragment caches the result. This cache has to be zapped once the model instance is either

dell says bye bye to Linux
Well. A priori. I'm a dedicated legacy OS person. I cut my teeth on command line DOS and then WIN 3.xx (these days that means WFWG 3.11). I drew the line at WIN9x. Hate that beast with a true passion, but because it is the 800 pound gorilla, I have to find some way to accomodate it in the future. So, here is the rub. Linux is a real PITA. Capital PITA. Unbelievably techie and that is bad.

Asterisk not sending bye message to original UA
I am trying to use asterisk for an shared line gateway. When moving from one phone by placing the call on hold then having a second phone pickup that held call by sending asterisk a replaces header (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3891.txt) Asterisk does not seem to send a "bye" message to the original UA leaving the first phone stuck in a holding state. Am I missing something here? Here

BYE from Cisco gateway
I'm using a cisco 1760 with a VIC2-4FXO card for my calls to PSTN. If a user on a softphone hangs up first the PSTN port on the cisco is released and new calls can be made on the same voice port. But when the user on the PSTN side hangs up first the voice port on the cisco stays open until the user on the softphone hangs up. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

not sending bye
Hello, We are using this Asterisk: 1.2.14-BRIstuffed-0.3.0-PRE-1y Everything works fine but we have an issue (not often, but one call every some hundreds) I sniffed the communication between phone, Asterisk and softswitch. I can see that Asterisk receives a Cancel from phone but Asterisk never sends a Cancel to Softswitch. This makes us some problems: billing system doesn't allow next call

Invite after bye?
Hi there noticed a strange thing in asterisk 1.6.2x 1.6.1x after one of the clients sends bye asterisk first sends invite to other side then after 200 ok it sends bye I am not sure but that could be some missconfiguration issue or a bug? so it's like this: side A sends bye to asterisk, asterisk responds with 200 OK to side A, then it sends INVITE to side B, expects 200 OK

Asterisk 11, SIP. OK to BYE goes to wrong ip/port combination
Hi all, I've read several discussions about asterisk adding 'received' parameter to the top Via header. In our case asterisk (release 11.4) gets BYE from sip proxy (with BYE top via header containing proxy ip address and port) but added 'received' parameter contains ip address from a 2nd Via (or from "From') and OK gets lost. I'm just trying to adjust sip

Problem with reINVITE on BYE
Hello all. I am currently using Asterisk 11.7.0 (also tried Asterisk 12, but same behavior) and is having an issue when it comes to reINVITE on BYEs. Apparently one of the SIP providers that I am using does not always process reINVITEs correctly, and would return a 500 Internal Server Error message on some (but not all) of these transactions. To get around this issue, I have been using

Sending bye to not establishment session
Hello. We have an issue with canseling dialogs. Scenario that we have issue is: Calling to some extensions from endpoint Hanging Up caller party until ringing send to asterisk from second leg (called party) Asterisk resend Bye to called party but Bye not going to somewhere because no Sip dialog from called party stated. I think asterisk should send Cancel to called party when this happends.

I like the OKI MFC devices. For Printing they provide a PPD file which is all you need on Linux. For copying and scanning I do it directly on the device and scans are sent via FTP to my server.

So far I am having smooth and functional experience with Kyocera multi-function devices. They connect easily to the main samba active directory domain controller and there is a decent Android app for wireless or network printing. PPD driver works in fedora but haven't tried with centOS yet. Scanning functionality works directly from the device interface or console so there is not much
