GSM Cards for Asterisk (UK)
Hi,
I am currently building a 1.4.4 Asterisk box for a client and they
are interested in GSM functionality.
Does anyone have any experience with a GSM card, preferably Quad Span
(4 GSM modules or higher) for use in the UK. I have seen the
Junghanns* version but I am not keen on the limitation of having to
use a BriStuffed version of Asterisk.
Do Digium make one ? as I am unable to find

GXW4024
Hello,
I consider buying three GrandStream GXW4024 and connect 72 analogue
phones to asterisk
Do you have any feedback how well it works with Asterisk ? I am on a
budget, do you have other recommendation for similar setup that get into
same budget - connect around 70 analogue phones to asterisk.
Thanks in advance.

Sending SMS with a Portech MV-374 GSM Gateway
Hi,
I have a Portech MV-374 GSM Gateway and I'd like to send SMS from a web
page to confirm the subscriptions. How can I achieve it? Is Asterisk of
any use to send SMS with the Portech? I really have no idea because I
know nothing about the whole SMS thing...
Thanks,
Niccol?

Portech MV-378 with Asterisk
Has anyone been able to configure portech's mv-378 gateway with asterisk?
I did the configuration as per the manual but it does not work.
My server sees the portech gateway, but when the gateway is trying to
register to my server it fails. It says peer is not suppose to register.
The gateway and the asterisk box are on two different location (two network,
2 differrent IP address).
I would

Asterisk trunking
Hello !
I am experiencing some problems with Asterisk trunking, this is the scenario:
There are 3 servers, a DID server provider (VOIP provider) which
delegates us a bunch of DID numbers to our asterisk server number one
(I will call it AA), from which I route the calls to Asterisk server
number 2 (I will call it BB), which then terminate on phone handsets.
The trouble is, that I probably

Debian 6 & XCP
So i successfully upgraded my Debian vm''s to Debian 6 on XCP 1.0, but when i
try to install a new clean one it always fails.
Why is this? The VM won''t even start, while i used the Debian 6 squeeze
template.
Is this even possible?
Thanks,
Peter

GSM / 3g channel bank
More than 60% of our outbound calls are now to mobiles, so the time has
come to whack in a gsm channel bank.
Does anyone have any preference of bank ? Do you use a PRI or VOIP
connection from the bank to asterisk ? Real-world experiences are sooooo
much better than marketing blurb ;)
We currently have a TE412P with a free socket, so we have a choice
either way. I am looking for up to 30

GSM gateways - which one ?
I've been asked to purchase a gsm gateway for use with our asterisk
server (for our use, not reselling)
I have a spare ISDN port on the server, so I have use either a PRI or
VOIP gsm gateway.
What would people recommend ? Has anyone used the QuesCom 400 ?
I would also love to know a rough idea of cost ;)
Once I've gotten the info, I'll post a message on the biz list for a

Filtering on from caller id
Hi,
I would like to use the from caller id, to allow calls yes or no.
101, and 111 should be allowed to use the Trunk, the rest of the phones are
not.
Is this even possible?
So if the from caller id is 101 or 111, then allow the call, otherwise
hangup.
Thanks,
Peter

asterisk fax handeling
Hello,
I was wondering if the following was possible:
When somebody sends a fax to my direct number 0101234567105 (my extension
will be 105) is it possible that Asterisk, or an addon sees this as a fax,
and e-mail the fax to me?
So everybody with a private extension will be able to receive faxes in his
e-mailbox on his direct number.
Any pointers would be highly appreciated!
Thanks,
Peter

Hello,
I''m running a XCP 0.5 at home, and on this system i''m running Asterisk. To
configure Dahdi i need to have the kernel headers. I''ve installed the
xen-0.5 tools to see some cool stats in my open xen manager, but now Dahdi
isn''t working, i have to compile it for this kernel, but i can''t seem to
find the headers for this kernel: 2.6.32-4-686-bigmem
