Local calls not possible when Internet connection down
Hello,
it did not seem the call hung. It seemed it never started. There was no dialplan execution on the asterisk side. It looked like phones were unregistered. Same shows the log posted previously.

Encoding mode
Hello,
In the internet draft describing the SDP parameters for speex
I find this:
mode: Speex encoding mode. Can be {1,2,3,4,5,6,any}
defaults to 3 in narrowband, 6 in wide and ultra-wide.
In the documentation I can only find the following request:
SPEEX_SET_MODE
There is no description though what this request does.
I think the mode somehow maps to the bitrate, but I

Get message "cannot do complex assignments in base namespace" error
I am constantly running into the problem where I get
error messages like "cannot do complex assignments in
base namespace".
It might have something to do with the fact that R has
not started up completely, since I am trying to run
some R script using Rterm < Rscript.R.
When I perform the same script in a Interactive R
session, the R script has no problem with the
assignments that it

PJSIP and Kamailio without registration
OK, it stopped working.
It turns out the transport and endpoints in PJSIP are ok. I can send an
invite from my unregistered snom phone and I can see some activity in the
CLI.
However, when I dial from my snom to Kamailio and have it pass the message
to asterisk, PJSIP seems to ignore the sip messages even though they are
there.
Is there something wrong in the invite that I'm missing?

Local calls not possible when Internet connection down
Are the phones and the server in the same subnet? You might making note of
the IPs and just simply try pinging everything with the uplink
disconnected. Also, if you are using domain names for registration, it is
possible a dns server must be reachable.
If you are using database for any of your call processing, an unreachable
dns server can also be the cause of trouble. For some reason, even if

Problems converting output from Sweave to PDf
I am having trouble converting the output from Sweave
into a valid PDF file.
I have created a simple .Rnw file which will become a
full vignette at some point, but during the
intermediate testing, I got errors from texi2dvi.
This is what I have done.

1) Created a file called GeneSpring.Rnw
2) Convert this to Tex using Sweave("GeneSpring.Rnw")

[PATCH 0/2] virtio-net: close() to follow mirror of open()
Hi,
This two small patches improves ndo_close() callback to follow
the mirror sequence of ndo_open() callback. This improves the code auditing
and also ensure that xdp rxq info is not unregistered while NAPI on
RXQ is ongoing.
Please review.
Patch summary:
patch-1 ensures that xdp rq info is unregistered after rq napi is disabled
patch-2 keeps the mirror sequence for close() be mirror of open()

PJSIP realtime: lots of problems
Hello,
I wonder if anybody is using PJSIP realtime in production environment?
I've started to play with it and encountered many problems.
Here's my config:
sorcery.conf:
[res_pjsip]
endpoint=realtime,ps_endpoints
extconfig.conf:
[settings]
ps_endpoints => pgsql,users,pjsip_endpoints_v
pjsip_endpoints_v is postgresql view.

domain/number line/range reduction problem
Hello,
Currently I'm only coming up with brute force solutions to this issue.
Wondering if anyone knows of a better way to do this.
The problem: I have endpoints of one x range (x_rng) and an unknown number
of s ranges (s[#]_rng) also defined by endpoints. What I want are the parts
of the x ranges that don't overlap the s ranges. The examples below
demonstrate what I mean. I'm

possible problem with "endpoints"?
Dear R People:
Hello again!
I found something unusual in the behavior of the "endpoints" function
from the xts package:

Identify endpoint based on Diversion header
Hello,
Is there any way to identify an incoming session based on the Diversion header?
In my scenario, I have some unregistered endpoints (mobile phones) that make calls through our Asterisk, which controls the external call rights based on the endpoint's context. In a normal call, their number will be in the From header and the destination in the To an RURI, but when they make a call
