TDMoIP and Asterisk
RAD appear to have bucketloads of products which bridge between various
interfaces (E1, BRI, POTS) and their own TDMoIP protocol. The attractive
thing about them for me is their availability in Australia.
The voip wiki says not much about it
(http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/TDMoIP), and certainly nothing about
if there is any way to get Asterisk to talk TDMoIP.
Despite the name, TDMoIP

"scripts are not supported on interfaces of type vhostuser" error
Hi,
I'm having trouble starting a VM with vhostuser interfaces.
I have a simple configuration where a VM running Debian has 1 vhostuser
interface plugged into an OVS switch where a DPDK interface is already
plugged in.
$ ovs-vsctl show:
Bridge "switch1"
Port "switch1"
Interface "switch1"

TDMoE Question
Just a Question. I would like to know if TDMoE follows specifiaciones of
TDMoIP RAD protocol that says that there is a compression of 16/1 when
you do TDMoIP.

[Bridge] Bridge is not bridging.
I have read several articles for setting up a network bridge.
My configuration is:

Switch1:VLAN45 --> Laptop
I am running CentOS 4.3 on the bridge

Re: [Asterisk-ss7] Asterisk - ss7
I thought everyone should know this.
Jorge, After reading your page in the
http://voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+SS7
please advise Your U.S. customers that SS7 is not done the same way as
in the rest of the world and the requirements are different. The U.S
carrier's require 2 redundant links. I know this first hand because we
run an SS7 network.

Re: [Asterisk-biz] SS7 and Asterisk solution
When are 'we' going to have this solution Steve? :) You keep talking
about it, and we keep asking when it's going to come about.
I know myself, SS7 will be a make or break for our continued use of
Asterisk. Even if we had some price indications would be good, and/or a
timeframe?
Don't want to seem pushy, but it's been on the cards for quite some time
now.

Get SS7 Hangup Code as Asterisk variable.
I'm making outbound calls by placing call files in the asterisk outgoing
directory. At times, the call would be hung by SS7 without even
attempting (due to error in the outgoing number). I get the following on
console:
-- Attempting call on ss7/9297210213 for s at croom:1 (Retry 1)
-- Sent IAM CIC=22 ANI=9134904821 DNI=9297210213 RNI=
-- SS7 hangup 'SS7/callserver/22'

I've deployed Asterisk before using ISDN connection, but never with SS7.
Can anyone explain me the different between using ISDN and SS7 ? What need I do
now to change to use SS7 ?.
Many thanks,
Giang

SS7 status report 2
Hi,
there are still some questions to be answered by OpenSS7.com
in order to decide, whether E400P-SS7 is a good choice for
the asterisk SS7 support.
In the meanwhile I'm also in negotiations with another
manufacturer (whose name I currently may not tell due to
a NDA) of SS7 hardware, who gets likely persuaded to offer
a cheap SS7-PCI-card which would be suitable for asterisk.

What Media Gateway (connected via SS7) do you use
Hello on Behalf Of idont know,
Sangoma has a Media Gateway solution via SS7. They I
believe are the only ones capable of connecting
Asterisk via SS7. You may want to check them out.

AS5400 E1 SS7
Hi,
Would just like to inquire if anyone here has a setup of asterisk to send traffic to AS5400 connected to an SS7-PRI.? this is more of a AS54 question, as i've been reading and i always stumble upon PGW2200 as a requirement to handle SS7 signaling on the AS54. Has anyone able to send calls from asterisk to an as 54 with SS7-PRI without PGW2200?
TIA

Nhadie

SS7 E1 cards
Hi,
I'm looking into support for SS7 and I found an article
(http://www.openss7.com/news13022002.html) which says that OpenSS7
supports Linux Support Inc's T400P-SS7 Quad T1 and E400P-SS7 Quad E1 PCI
interface cards. It also says that Linux Support Inc is the primary
sponsor of Asterisk. However I cannot find these cards on the Asterisk
hardware page

SS7 over an FXO interface
Hello,
Is it possible to transfer ss7 signaling over an FXO interface.
I need to setup an ss7 test system composed by two Asterisk based IP-PBX
systems with anlog interfaces only (FXO and FXS). I want to know if it is
possible to connect the two IP-PBX as following:
- FXS interface in PBX1 -----------------> connected to
