Asterisk with SIPconnect
Has anyone had any experience connecting Asterisk to Cbeyond's
SIPconnect service (http://www.sipconnect.info)? Any opinions?
Thanks,

sipconnect 1.0
I've been struggling with a Trixbox running Asterisk 1.6 for one of our customers as of late.
The service provider in question is using BroadWorks and requires a single trunk registration for the trunk group. We have 4 users(lines/numbers) in the TG.
The sip trunk is setup as follows:
type=peer
host=192.168.1.1
fromuser=<tgid>
fromdomain=<sip domain>
dtmfmode=rfc2833

How to read or write Geolocation (RFC6442) data in SIP/PJSIP messages ?

I'm having a look at section 13.1 from SIP Connect v2 doc (see [1]).
It refers to RFC6442 which gives the following example (sorry for its
length):

Via: SIPS/2.0/TLS pc33.atlanta.example.com;branch=z9hG4bK74bf9

Announcement before absolute timeout / how to terminate a meetme conf?
Hi,
I'm new to asterisk and have a little trouble in developing my first more
complex dialplan. The basic task is a click to call solution:
- call one number via sip, play some announcements, do cdr etc. and put
the callee into an conference room with music on hold
- call a second number via sip, play some announcements, do cdr etc. put
the callee into the same conference
- have a nice chat

VoIP Provider
Hi,
I am just about to move out from my parents home and think about how I
will phone from now on. In Germany there is a provider (QSC) who
offers DSL (1024 down/256 up) with fastpath without volume or time
limits.
Does anybody know a comercial (or even semi-professional) provider who
lets me dial out through H323 (or another protocol) and also offers an
number where I can be called from

dns messages on console
Ever since upgrading to 1.6 I get messages like these. I want
everything else that shows up, but is there a way to make all the dns
messages go away?

Q about dpi, fonts, gnome, Xorg etc
This has been puzzling me for some time and despite bothering Auntie
Google rather a lot, I've yet to find a satisfying answer.
As an old-time (since 1981) unix and X guy, I've generally been fairly
well-able to get fonts to behave in a rational manner. My needs are
pretty simple - I just want 8-point (or 9-point etc) fonts to appear on
the screen as 8-point font - ie more or less 8 *
