Zap channels: no sound with certain call paths
Hi, A most peculiar and vexing problem for you all. I hope I have been verbose enough without being a firehose ;) The set up: I have a channel bank, using the r1t1 rhino driver with a rhino T1 card (the channel bank itself is a very legacy piece of equipment)- this supplies FXS for all the house phones. Also, a Wildcard TDM400P, using the wctdm module with 1 FXO module, this supplies FXO to the

Newbie
Hi, I just started with Asterisk as I am very unhappy with the functionality of my current PBX at home. I try to understand everything and play around, but it is not as easy as I thought. So please be patient if this is a too easy question for You. I installed Asterisk 1.4.26.3 on a Debian Lenny with IP 192.168.2.147 My extension.conf looks like this: [default] exten => 1001,1,Answer()

Maximum number of PRI calls on 1 asterisk box (no HW echo)
Hi, Does anyone have any good empirical data suggesting what the maximum number of PRI calls (incoming and outgoing) without hardware echo cancellation can be handled on a single box is? I have a TE410P T1 (1st gen) card and I'm seeing interesting errors of D-Channels going down and then coming back up (See below). I've looked at the number of simultaneous calls at each of these points,

PRI Problems with 1.6.0.10
Hi, I have a PRI problem where it appears that my system is not responding to SETUP messages on a channel. It seems to be retransmitting a significant number of RELEASE messages to clear a call that is most likely to be long gone. This causes a huge issue because I get a bunch of hangup cause 102s (timeout). I'm using a TE410P (1st Gen) as my PRI card. Has anyone seen this at all? Thanks.

TDM 400 hardware(?) issue
I am having to abandon asterisk after having used it for 2.5 years due to this problem. Every couple of days (sometimes more often, sometimes less), the machine will lock up because the TDM board or the Dahdi driver goes south. /var/log/messages starts filling up with repeated messages: kernel: TDM PCI Master abort The card I have is: *CLI> dahdi show status Description

Access Violation running an application calling Borland libraries vcljpg60.bpl & vcl60.bpl
Access Violation running an application calling Borland libraries vcljpg60.bpl, vcl60.bpl. I am using Wine 0.9.10 and Mandriva LE2005. Although I can run several windows application successfully, I have never been able to run one - Heredis8 - that seems to be using Borland libraries (vcljpg60.bpl, vcl60.bpl, and others). Busy(20) returns non-zero and exits immediately on IAX channel
Hi, I'm running Asterisk 1.4.26.3 and I've noticed an interesting problem when trying to play a Busy tone over a IAX trunk from the PSTN. It seems as though Busy(20) returns non-zero immediately (it does not wait 20s), so the caller never hears the busy tone, but the call just appears to hang up. I don't believe this happens when trying to play a Busy on a SIP trunk. The busy part of

Wine unhandled exception running PocketFMS
I'm trying to get the PocketFMS flight assistant program to work under Wine. This program is available for free at www.pocketfms.com . The installation of PocketFMS works OK with a few 'fixme' warnings, but running the installed program causes an immediate crash. As this program is still in development itself and not designed to run on anything but Windows, I'd like to know if
