Need help troubleshooting TCP thrashing, possible kernel bug?
I have a FreeNAS 9.3 server running Samba Version 4.3.6 and a bunch of
Windows and Linux clients. Everything's been running fine for a while and
nothing changed on the server.
Recently (Jan 27th) some of the Archlinux clients updated from a 4.8.x
kernel to a 4.9.x kernel. Again, things ran fine. Then on Jan 30th around
2am the Archlinux clients using 4.9.x kernels and utilizing mount.cifs to

How to define class type hierarchy of speeds?
Hi
I''m very very new to tc iproute etc and have read the LARTC howto.
What I want to do is create some "master" classes of bandwidth limit and
below that per ip address which "inherits" from this master class.
Example:
one queue for 128Kbps
other queue for 256Kbps
What I want now is that for example in "class" 128Kbps the ip
10.0.0.5, 10.0.0.8 etc. goes

error starting client-server protocol (code 5)
I'm running FreeBSD 4.6.2 on two different machines. Both machines have
rync installed by way of the ports library, but one of them is running
it as a server. I followed the directions in the man pages for running
the server using inetd.
Here is what happens:
rsync rsync://myusername@10.0.0.8/
rsync: server sent "rysnc version 2.5.5 protocol version 26" rather than

[LLVMdev] Any suggestion for "Unknown instruction type encountered" error?
Hello all,
I was playing with LLVM pass. I changed the
lib/Transforms/Hello/Hello.cpp 's content to be my own pass. Then I make
install the pass and use an example test1.c to see whether it works or not.
When I run example using the following command:
clang -emit-llvm test1.c -c -o test1.bc
opt -load ../build_llvm/Debug+Asserts/lib/LLVMHello.so -hello < test1.bc >
/dev/null

How could I implicitly set indirect routing
Hi,
I've created a VPN network using route mode with 8 nodes, for example 10.0.0.1-10.0.0.8
I've already set Every node's subnet to 10.0.0.0/24 and set forwarding option to kernel.
After I deleted the default route table(ip route 10.0.0.0/24 dev tun) and added the following route options:
ip route add 10.0.0.1 dev tun
ip route add 10.0.0.2 dev tun10 via 10.0.0.1
and then I tried

SIP with Qualify and NAT
Hi guys,
I'm having a really strange problem, which I'm pretty sure has only
appeared since my last upgrade (1.2.12.1) .
It's about NAT and Qualify. I'm using Asterisk to register with some
external SIP providers. However, they're always marked as UNREACHABLE,
when they weren't before!
A typical debug looks like this:
hera*CLI> sip reload

Error when adding lines to a plot using the mixed-effect model and metafor package
Hi,
I am a student using R for my final year project, with the metafor package being particularly helpful. I have been following the steps laid out in the manual 'Conducting Meta-analysis in R with the Metafor package' (Viechtbauer, 2010) and applying it to my own data of infected Anopheles mosquitoes across Africa.
In particular, I am attempting to apply a mixed-effect model to my data

troubleshooting NAT
Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot NAT issues? We had Freepbx look at your install and they said we are having a NAT problem but didn'ttell me if it was with the asterisk conf or the Cisco ASA.

call drops after a few seconds
I have setup my asterisk box using freepbx. I can call extension and make outbound calls. the outbound calls drop between 10-30sec. we are using bandwidth.com and they have logged our call. below is your bad followed by what they say is a good call. I can't figure out where the problem is on your end. I know we are missing some stuff at the bottom but I don't know where to start.

short preserve case
On 3.0.2 and 3.0.3pre1 (AIX 5.2), we are having an issue here short names
are not consistently lower-cased with winXP/SP1 client authed as the
listed admin user or any other valid user. Samba compiled with
-D_ALL_SOURCE and -D_LINUX_SOURCE_COMPAT. Later in the show just
-D_ALL_SOURCE.

no default leaf on HTB
Hello,
I have a linux bridge setup and am using HTB to bandwidth manage traffic
passing through the bridge.
I want to manage "some" of the traffic passing through the bridge. I
figured I can do this if I dont define a "default" class on the qdisc.
I will only config classes for traffic I want to manage.
Assume that i Have traffic for network 10.0.0.0/24 passing through the
