What do I need to connect landline calls without telephony hardware?
For some reason, I have been unable to find the answer to this online or in books... I want to have a "click-to-connect" feature on my website where the user enters their phone number and then my asterisk server calls their phone and my phone and connects the two calls to each other. All I have are: 1. A Server 2. A DSL connection 3. A Router and DSL Modem 4. A static IP What do i

Call files
Hi All, Have created a system that involves using call files in the outgoing spool folder. On some occasions it retries which is fine.... is there any way to view calls waiting retries from the CLI? Using 1.4 btw. Have googled to no avail (although it is near the end of the day so I might be being a muppet!) Thanks in advance. Steve

trouble using R Mathlib as standalone
Dear People, I am trying to use R's Math library as standalone, as documented in /src/nmath/standalone. I am using C++ in Debian testing, and the versions are as follows: ii g++-3.0 3.0.3-1 The GNU C++ compiler. ii r-mathlib 1.4.0-1 `GNU S' - Standalone R math library I have a file (rand.cc) as follows. I don't think that lattice.hh or mh.hh are very

choosing g/g++ compiler executable in R CMD SHLIB
Dear People, After considerable effort, I managed to install gcc-3.0 on my Debian system. However, Debian keeps gcc-2.95 around as the default compiler, and gcc, g++ point to the 2.95 version. The 3.0 versions need to be explicitly invoked as gcc-3.0, g++-3.0 etc. How can I get R CMD SHLIB to invoke gcc-3.0 instead of gcc and g++-3.0 instead of g++? I would like this to be done by default but

Call file problem, DelayedRetry/retrying spite MaxRetries: 0
I am using Realtime extensions as well, in case that would matter. Following problem arises from time to time, a call will successfully terminate: [May 14 14:31:41] VERBOSE[3274] pbx_realtime.c: -- Executing [t at project_init:1] Hangup("SIP/peer-2-00002f7e", "") [May 14 14:31:41] VERBOSE[3274] pbx.c: == Spawn extension (project_init, t, 1) exited non-zero on

The following code (using rgamma) hangs
Hi, I'm seeing something that may be a bug in R's standalone math library, which is packaged by Debian as r-mathlib. I reported it to the Debian BTS as http://bugs.debian.org/657573 I'm using Debian squeeze, and the code was tested with r-mathlib 2.11.1-6 (default on stable) and 2.14.1-1 (from testing/unstable). I summarize this report below. The following code with the R math

Autodialer - call simultaneously to both ends
Hello List, I'm working on an autodialer project. At the moment I use the Originate application then I "throw" it to an extension where I Dial() the other party and then both legs are bridged. The problem is that the Dial() will only run after the Originate finish its bit and I have lots of wasted time or even worse, the remote party hanging the call because instead of a human

thick plot lines
Dear People, In a qqplot I am doing, I get lines/points that are very thick. I've tried setting the lwd variable to 0.1, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Also, I have set the value of lty to dashed, but I still get dots. The command looks like qqplot(cdf.inv(seq(0,1,length=size),theta,pos,len),empmargdistvec(len,theta,pos,size), xlim=c(-theta,theta), ylim=c(-theta,theta),

MeetMe Features
Hi all, I had a chance to use some call conferences that had some very neat functionalities: - When you call you are first asked for your name - When someone joins the conference a message "<name> is now joining the conference." is played. - When someone leaves the room a message "<name> has left to conference." is played. How can I set MeetMe/Asterisk to have

rsync logging and permission problems
Dear rsync people, I have just started using rsync for backups. I have had a couple of issues. The local machine is currently running 2.4.6-1 and the remote 2.3.2-1.2. 1) When I run rsync with the vv option, stuff scrolls of my screen faster than I can read it. I was wondering if
