Asterisk SIP Trunking with Cisco UC 560
Hello, I'm interested in knowing if anyone out there has successfully connected Asterisk to a Cisco UC 560 via SIP trunking? We have a client of ours that we put in an Asterisk install, one of their sister companies who we don't control is putting in a Cisco UC 560. From my looking I think it can be done, but the vendor is telling them it can't. Thought I'd ask around here and see

Voicemail Password
Does anyone know of a way to force the voicemail password for users to be of a certain length? We've setup operator=yes within our voicemail.conf and want to have the users use a long password to prevent possible guessing by external parties. I'm not seeing any such option in my research. If it doesn't exist it might be a decent feature. Thanks. Running: 1.4.25, on CentOS 4.7

OpenSIPS on CentOS
Hello, I've been looking into OpenSIPS to see if it's a worthwhile addition to our setup. We're currently running a cluster, using Heartbeat, between two servers. It works well but I'm interested in seeing if we can improve it. My manager heavily uses RPM's for installations rather than source, particularly using yum to update. I'm trying to actually install OpenSips via

Timeout for Queue
Hello, We had an incident recently where a call was in queue for an extended period of time. We use queuemetrics for reporting, and it reports that the call was waiting for 20 minutes. The different thing about it is that the disconnect reason is stated as Timeout. Is there a set maximum time a call will wait in the queue before being automatically disconnected? I tried looking through the code

Goto Question
Hello, I'm running three asterisk boxes, spread across three different countries. One of the offices is running Asterisk 1.2.18 on the Druid Telephony Platform(not my choice, has been in before I started and haven't had the time to remove it). My situation I have is based on the contexts already in place, particularly for outbound calls, I need to do a Goto sending the call back into the

Problem logs queue_log-mysql
Hello! I'm trying to registers events of queues in /var/log/asterisk/queue_log and Mysql database .I have configured realtime queue_log on MySQL and works well, but /var/log/asterisk/queue_log file is empty, since you're not registering events of queues. Removing extconfig.conf configurations (queue_log => mysql, general), /var/log/asterisk/queue_log works well, events logs on

I've been able to successfully integrate a Cisco CallManager 7.x system with Asterisk using SIP trunking, so I imagine you should be able to do the same here. -- Thanks, --Warren Selby, dCAP http://www.selbytech.com --0016e651f0a6bbe47b04a303939e Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div

External PRI Appliance
Hello, I'm supporting an Asterisk setup in the Cayman Islands(I'm in Canada), which is running a PRI to a local telecom provider. We are looking at improving the setup, setting up high availability etc. My manager is interested in putting a TDMOE device in place, so we can easily switch the line remotely. He's looking at the following device:

really irregular time series
I built some reasonably successful tools in a graphical database for reconstructing the developmental turning points for feedback loop driven natural processes. I'm trying to move it to R and am having difficulty with the very basics, i.e. a) defining time series using time as a natural number rather than a place in a table. I was also hoping b) someone might have built some of the

Is not yet available ODBC support for queue_log in asterisk 1.6?
Hi list, I hope someone could help me. I've started using Asterisk 1.6.0.14 to get queue logs in real time with odbc (our databases are all PostgreSQL) but it's not working. However, cdr odbc is working well. When asterisk starts next message appears: WARNING[4217] config.c: Realtime mapping for 'queue_log' found to engine 'odbc', but the engine is not available My

Setting up an outgoing trunk group
Hi All, I'm confused! My Asterisk system has a Zap trunk and three SIP trunks. I'd like to configure the dialplan to route via the first trunk in a list and if that's not available or it's busy, fall over to the second, then to the third, etc. AIUI Dial(Zap/1&SIP/out1&SIP/out2/${EXTEN}) rings all the trunks in the list and bridges to the first to answer. Unfortunately,

queue_log question: which endpoint was connected?
Hello list, as I'm writing a little perl parser for queue_log analysis, I'd like to know *which* telephone answered a specific queue call. Unfortunately app_queue only logs the call id but does not log the call end point. This is okay for SIP endpoints, because their call id is something like SIP/endpointname-1234 so you can reasonably understand who was on answering, but for
