B410P and Patton smartnode : any success ?
Hi, 1. Has someone met any success at all, connecting a Digium B410P to a Patton Smartnode 4638 (with latest 5.3 firmware) ? 2. If positive, then, which signalling was used on both sides ? My project's goal is use a Patton Smartnode 4638 to act as telco BRI lines, from a B410P-enabled asterisk box. In my testings, I can see channel is respectively up (with patton web server status page)

Xorcom T1 to PRI
Hi, I have a client that has a 24 channel voice T1 that I have been using e&m signalling over for a number of years. The local telco finally got an ISDN switch and wants to move them to PRI. I didn't see this as a big problem - I've done a few others on this particular Caribbean island without issues, but this would be the first time with a Xorcom unit involved. We tried to do

Suddenly "HDLC Bad FCS (8)" errors on ISDN-PRI, changed nothing
Hi fellow asterisk users, I am running Asterisk 1.4.29 with an Digium TE121 card (wcte12xp kernel module) an approx. 100 snom320. The whole installation is running without issues since 5 months. Without having changed anything on the asterisk server for at least 2 months, i noticed "clicking sounds" at external calls over the PRI. Asterisk constantly throws the following messages: ...

Xorcom Bri and asterisk crashes
We have recently install an asterisk solution with about 60 physical extensions. While the system is running it runs reasonably well (Still have a few teething problems) but twice now they have experienced a degradation in voice quality and dropped calls and then finally asterisk completely crashes out. Restarting asterisk will work for a little while and it will crash again, each time less time

Message from syslogd@localhost ... kernel:Disabling IRQ #17
" Message from syslogd at localhost at Aug 27 08:57:53 ... kernel:Disabling IRQ #17" is the message I got on all my terminal windows at the time indicated. What is it complaining about? What should I do about it? I got some information from dmesg. It mentions IRQ 17, but the only error is from before the most recent hibernation. Here are some excerpts, in order from dmesg: SELinux:

Asterisk 1.4 and kernel panic and IRQ interrupts
Hi, I'm having trouble with one machine that kernel panics with Asterisk 1.4. The motherboard is an Asus P5W Deluxe. I reported the kernel panic here: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2009-November/241006.html I'm now trying to understand if the problem can be an IRQ issue or not. I disabled APIC in the BIOS because I thought that maybe it could be buggy (not sure

debian/dahdi/zaphfc - Unable to receive TEI from network!
Hello, The harddisk of my etch/bristuffed asterisk1.2 box finally died. I moved the cheap (1397:2bd0) HFC-S card to a squeeze host (i686) and built dahdi modules 2.3.0.1 using m-a. After zaptel->dahdi and asterisk 1.2->1.6 config adaptations, everything seems ok, except for the BRI side, unable to bring layers 1/2 up. Asterisk reports: chan_dahdi.c:12393 dahdi_pri_error: 1 Unable to

Why is irqbalance not balancing?
I am running irqbalance with default configuration on an Atom 330 machine. This CPU has 2 physical cores + 2 SMT (aka Hyperthreading) cores. As shown below the interrupt for the eth0 device is always on CPUs 0 and 1, with CPUs 2 and 3 left idle. But why? Maybe irqbalance prefers physical cores? My understanding, though, is that the even-numbered CPUs are the physical cores, with the
