We have PSTN lines connected to FXO lines of a TDM400B. I just got a complaint that overseas callers who are using cellphones sometimes find that DTMF digits aren't working - they press digits and the menu goes on as if they hadn't pressed anything. Since it sometimes works, and other IVRs work over the same cellphones, it's not that the cellphone isn't sending the digits.

Does Asterisk know when it hits a voicemailbox ? When calling to a cell-phone or GSM, after some rings and no pickup you arrive at a voicemailbox. If Asterisk does not know it's a voicemailbox that has answered the call, the voicemailbox will contain 60minutes of 'silence'. This is very expensive 'silence'. How to avoid this ? We have a large install of 360's running rev 4.1 with zero problems. I did another, smaller install couple weeks ago with 40 360's running rev 5.3. In both cases, the install was identical, same Asterisk version, same dialplan, everything the same except the differences were: 1. Different firmware rev 2. Different physical LAN Guess what?
