SIP MESSAGE outside calls - state of the art?
Hiya,
SIP Messaging is implemented in asterisk-10...
>The only documentation I can find talks about a patch and is pretty old:>http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+SIP+Messaging <http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+SIP+Messaging>
Like anything on voip-info.org it's horrible outdated. I think there's
a documentation for the message-routing in docs....

Slightly OT: Android phone as sip-gw?
Hi,
i have some spare (read: Boss get's a new one every few month ;)) Android
Phones laying around. Does someone know a way of using them as a mobile
gateway for asterisk? I could not find any SIP-Gateway in the Market, and i
don't think it's possible to use the GSM Audio directly with something like
chan_datacard...
Regards,
Jay

Detection of Answering Machine
Hello,
To detect an answering machine I have found following two commands,
BackgroundDetect (comes with asterisk)
MachineDetect (asterisk add-ons)
First question, does BackgroundDetect works well with g729?
I havn't try MachineDetect yet, what is the benefit of MachineDetect over BackgroundDetect.
If anybody used any of this command successfully, please help me.
If possible, please let me

Anyone played with app_amd?
I'm guessing this may be a question for dev list, but wanted to try my
luck here first. I'm trying to compile app_amd (Answering Machine
Detection) against 1.2.7.1 and am getting some errors. I should point
out that I simply snarfed app_amd.c from
http://svn.digium.com/view/asterisk/trunk/apps/app_amd.c?rev=14714
...so if there are other includes and such that are required, that would

[asterisk-app-dev] ARI application execution feature survey
Hi Asterisk users,
I'm one of Asterisk ARI users, and trying to designing the new ARI for
application execution in Stasis().
This will be made possible for executing the applications in the
Stasis() application.
But, before going further, I would like to know which application needs
to be considered.
Because this feature will introduce new Stasis behavior, I would like to
test the

AMD Not Working
Hi All,
I am trying to use the AMD (Answering Machine Detect).
But it is not sending the AMD_Status as either
the Human or Machine, it hangs up in middle.
can any one suggest us, what might be the problem
and possible solution to it.
below is the log

AMD Machine Detect
Hi -
I have been developing an auto-dialling application similar to Voiceshot, Call-em-all etc. The one thing I am now struggling to get working is the ability to leave a message on an answering machine or cell phone voicemail. I am using app_amd.c and while it works well for some phones it is proving to be very difficult tweaking the settings to get it to work reliable enough to go to

Basic asterisk Autodialer?
I'm looking for an easy way to make asterisk perform as a basic
(broadcast)autodialer.
Basically all I want to do is give it a list of phone #'s and a
pre-recorded message and have it call each one and play the message or
leave it on the person's answering machine.
The people I'll be calling are all our customers, etc. so I don't need
to do any do-not-call checking. Just

Answering Machine Detection
Does anyone have any recommendations on implementing Answering Machine detection for call generation programs?
What I would like is * to determine what picks up the other line (Answering Machine, Voicemail, or Human) to determine which action to take. For example:
If * detects Answering Machine or Voicemail, hangup call & the AGI will log (ANSWERING MACHINE DETECTED) and at that point,

ISDN call-progress IE in SETUP frames
Hi,
I have a strange problem on a single customer's PRI. He can't call
certain destinations, receiving an "incompatible destination" ISDN
cause code back from the network.
I'm sure that the PRI is misconfigured by the telco; but they (as
always) insist there is nothing wrong. Another Asterisk system with
identical config works perfectly on a PRI installed at the next-door

Voice Dtect
Guys, is there any way to detect voice when calling a zap channel? For
example, if you want to send out or playback a recorded message, you need to
wait for somebody to actually answer the phone before playing starts..
Anyway to detect this?

setting up AMD
I'm trying get this working. I've looked through the list, and can't see
how to get AMD to print out more. I have it call and say Hello like I
normally would. I've tried to say more and less doesn't seem to matter.
After I hangup it does recognize hangup. Here's logging during an attempt
where I make outbound call and answer, but then hangup after 1-2 seconds:

Answering machine detection after Dial()
Hi people!
Sorry for bringing up some annoying issue.. yes, it's AMD again...
But I was searching the last days for a solution for my problem and
didn't really find anything. Now I'm hoping that someone of you has
maybe an idea for me. :)
My setup:
---------
I use the Asterik Manager API to generate outgoing calls (by using
"Originate" messages).

CallerID app for Symbian?
Hi,
we're using a GSM-Gateway on asterisk to forward incoming calls to the
cellphones, but, of course, the cellphones always display the callerid from
the gateway. Does anyone know a symbian app that could (on an incoming call)
connect via grps/3G to a database behind the asterisk and fetch the real
callerid and do a calleridname-lookup on a number?

Kerberos negotion error? reply_spnego_kerberos(250)
Good morning everyone,
I have had Samba 3.0.9 running on Solaris, connected to a Windows AD
domain for a couple of weeks now, and i've suddenly started getting the

New behavior of 'write.csv' append argument?
Dear R users,
I have recently begun to reuse some functions I made several months ago. The
scripts write to a .csv file using the 'write.csv' function with the append
option set to TRUE. This used to work fine, albeit with the warning
"appending column names to file". I upgraded to R version 2.11.0 on OSX
10.5.8 and 'write.csv' will no longer append any files - I get the

[LLVMdev] Linker problems with Visual Studio
Hi Morten,
Thanks for your progress on this subject.
I suppose that we all in the LLVM development team is interested in your
project files. I think, we should come up with a place in the source tree
where they could live, until we are able to generate them ourselfs by some
means.
Any suggestions?
