DUNDi Confusion
Dear community, Please help. I've been looking around the internet (and in this great forum) for help with DUNDi setup between servers (I'm using Elastix) and while I can get my servers to lookup extensions on each other very well, I have not been able to successfully make calls between servers. For my test environment, I have 3 servers setup for now, and these are the steps I've

Ast.1.0.9 (only) strange problem with IAX and DDNS
Asterisk 1.0.9: IAX2 registration timeout! --- I have 2 locations with ADSL lines, both with dynamic IP (+ dynamic DNS). On location 1 => Asterisk 1.0.RC2 / Slackware 10 On location 2 => Asterisk 1.0.9 / Slackware 10 They are on private network and connected via IAX2 through NAT(win2000server), and registering to DDNS name of each other. I know that Asterisk is not very smart on handling

Requested contexts didn't get merged
Hello, I have two asterisk servers and I would like to merge their dialplans. I thought DUNDi would be a natural choice. I created the following configuration on the first server: iax.conf Code: [dundi] type=user dbsecret=dundi/secret context=dundi-local dundi.conf [general] ttl=4 autokill=yes cachetime=30 entityid=00:06:5B:8E:B0:08 secretpath=dundi bindaddr=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX port=4520

DUNDi in 1.2.7.1
Hi few weeks ago I read about redundancy (HA) of asterisk boxes using DNS, DUNDi, so I decided to give it a try. OS FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE, asterisk 1.2.7.1 on one peer I get: lk110*CLI> dundi show peers EID Host Model AvgTime Status 00:11:43:3d:69:e6 195.28.109.37 (S) Symmetric Unavail OK (1 ms) 1 dundi peers [1 online, 0 offline, 0

[IAX] Everyone is busy/congested at this time (1:0/0/1)
Hi, I have a problem with IAX accounts... I set up a few months ago an Asterisk server, with mysql support to load iax accounts. Settings seems fine because apparently the system works as expected. Yesterday I tried to add another iax account in the iax.conf directly. And I have a problem with this new account (named 444). I can authenticate from 444 to the server, and I can receive calls from

Realtime+IAX2 and RSA
Anyone had Realtime working with IAX2 and RSA authentication to connect two PBXs, please? It seems that inkeys/outkey fields are not read at all and the following warning is logged when dialing: Jun 2 02:41:36 WARNING[6299] chan_iax2.c: I don't know how to authenticate ******** to XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX Using iax.conf it perfectly works. Maybe a bug in Realtime? TIA, Alex

RSA interasterisk IAX problems ?
Hi, I'd like to setup oneway connection - so asteriskB can place calls on asteriskA and be safely authenticated with rsa keys. I just don't get any response on asteriskA. I've generated pair of keys: name.key, name.pub and put them on both servers - is it right to only have name.key on asteriskA and name.pub on asteriskB ? I get everybody is busy ... on asteriskB, and none

iax2 trunk registration with auth rsa
hi all, I am trunking via iax2 2 asterisk serverses if both of them have static ip addresses, I can connect them using no password, password or auth rsa with a pair of keys. If one of them has dynamic ip address and need to register on the other server, I can connect them with no password, but I am not able to do that using keys. The question is: which is the right register syntax to use when

Problem with IAX trunking
Hi all, I'm trying to get IAX2 trunking between two * boxes and am having extreme difficulty :) What happens is when the sending * server (the one initiating the call) receives the ACCEPT back from the receiving server it immediately replies with INVAL. I've checked the code and it seems to be not matching the accept packet with the relevant item in the iaxs array due to the following

RSA question
Hi, Acording with http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+iax+rsa+auth, both sides should have "auth=rsa" in their respective section at iax.conf. But i've found that if server includes this option, the client keeps saying "No way to send secret to peer". My links with FWD and Iaxtel are working fine, this is a test i m doing with 2 asterisks i configured. Also, if i use

Samba PDC + OpenLDAP machine accounts
Hi everyone, I'm having a slight problem getting Samba and OpenLDAP to play together. First off, sorry for the long mail. I'm struggling to understand the whole machine account business, and to get them working correctly. I'm using the smbldap-tools package to create my ldap directory and also the various users and machine accounts. Creating users works fine, but machine accounts

* as a SoftSwitch/Router solution
Hi All, I've been experimenting during this weekend with asterisk as a softswitch, talk about me being completely lifeless, but let not talk about that. I've been conducting some really funny tests, trying to get an optimal SoftSwitch functionality. Here is my current setup: Source: Windows XP Pro + SJphone Box 1: Asterisk running in PassThorugh mode Box 2: Asterisk running in
