FW: [Dean Collins] Joint BarcampNYC4 sessions?
I know this is a global list but anyone on the asterisk list going to
barcampnyc4?

I'd like to organize at least two sessions on asterisk (newbie/advanced)
so if anyone reading this is coming to http://barcamp.org/BarCampNYC4
shoot me an email to pre-organise.

Twitter account
I noticed that the "mapstraction" Twitter account was available, so I
claimed it. Ping me for the password and maybe we can get a few people
using it.

the USA and internationally.

preskip and seeking suing Opus
Hi,
I've been studying the Opus code and documentation for a while and have
seen it mentioned several times that Opus uses pre-skip to allow the codec
to converge. What convergence are they referring to? Rate control?
Energy envelope prediction after seeking?
Is there a discussion of this somewhere?
Also, I'm also interested in the seeking behaviour of the decoder.
If, say, I want to

preskip and seeking suing Opus
Yes, that's a start.
Ultimately, though, I'm hoping to reduce the 80ms requirement, and am
trying to get a handle on what state in the decoder must converge and what
complications I might be up against. I'm also only considering CELT-based
encodings if that simplifies things.
I know that Opus can do inter-frame energy envelope prediction, but that
dependency can be eliminated by

The skype channel...
Hello everyone!
Perhaps I missed something: But where can one download the beta-version of
the new asterisk skype channel? Can it work with 1.6.0-beta9?
I tried to browse the digium downloads, but it's dificult, if you're blind
and only have a text-based (almost no javscript) browser.
Thanks for any good hints and pointers!
   Kindest regards
             Julien
