Asterisk 1.4.7 and MOH
I just installed the newly released Asterisk 1.4.7 and I cannot get music on hold. I am using the default settings with the wav files. Here is what I get on the cli from any sip phone: -- Executing [7001 at oficina:1] NoCDR("SIP/1120-084e6010", "") in new stack -- Executing [7001 at oficina:2] Answer("SIP/1120-084e6010", "") in new stack --

moh reload not reloading/reading new musiconhold files
> Hello > as you can read in my original post "moh reload" and "module reload res_musiconhold.so" does nothing. > Only at restart the new files are available. > Is this a bug ?? How can I get more debugging for this problem ?? I think there is currently a bug with MOH. For now, if you add a file to a moh folder, 'touch musiconhold.conf' and then reload moh.

MoH via AGI broken after upgrade.
I recently upgraded Asterisk from 1.8.x to 13.x and am now finding that music on hold isn't working like it used to. It seems that even though the correct MoH class is being set, the system still plays the "default" music. All of my call handling is done with an AGI script. When a call is made, the AGI script sets the MoH class before dialing. The log indicates that the correct

MOH different question
Is there anyway for a sip station to play MoH out of the speaker? I know I can do it by calling the station and putting it on hold. For example: On a samsung pbx with MoH, if you goto one of the workstaions and press a button The moh plays out of the speaker. Is there any way to do this with asterisk? Odd MOH problem...
So I decided, for the formal asterisk rollout, to change over to less commercially-infringing MOH than the prior admin had thrown on the server. (plus: it was blown out and nasty sounding over the phones. Ew.) I changed the files in /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3 to something else (can't dig up the link, but it was from the voip-info wiki). My musiconhold.conf looks like this: ; ; Music on

MOH distorted voice in Native and MP3 format
Hello, I have been facing an issue that voice is getting distorted sometimes in MOH (MusicOnHold) application. I have checked and confirmed that lame is properly installed, even tried native formats (ulaw, alaw, gsm), but the randomly seen distortion in MOH can't be eliminated. I came to know about requirement of timing device for MOH and MeetMe and a very good illustration by Andrew

MoH mysteriously stopped working
Folks, I have somewhat of a serious issue here. My music on hold mysteriously stopped working. I have made no changes to my Asterisk box in the past month and up until an hour ago, MoH was working fine (as far as I know). CLI: -- Started music on hold, class 'default', on channel 'IAX2/lobby-2' -- Stopped music on hold on IAX2/lobby-2 voip*CLI> moh reload voip*CLI> 1

queue moh
Hi All, Sorry if this has been covered already, but I don't tend to follow this list as close as I should these days. Problem is that if a call comes in to a queue without option 'r' specified - moh plays as expected. Now, when that call is answered, all is fine. Trouble comes when that person then puts the caller on-hold. No moh is heard by the caller (in fact, they get silence).

can't CLI> STOP NOW by zombie MOH
I am using CVS-v1-0-04/20/05-12:31:26. Windows Messenger5.1 works MOH fine. After I stop MOH on Windows Messenger, if the hungup signal could not send to *, the sip channel(e.g.,SIP/52001-08ca) for this MOH remains. Then the user trys again MOH, a new sip channel starts. And again the hugup signal can not send to *,......... When I 'stop now' from CLI> , * cleanups the remaining sip

MOH sourced from a sound card?
I thought this had been around before but I can't seem to find anything about it. I have a customer whom prior to upgrading to Asterisk invested in one of those boxes that plays your company sales campaign into the MOH port on your key system. For reasons of message maintenance he wants to keep the box as part of the new system. Can I couple this to the sound card in the Asterisk server

MusicOnHold (MOH) silent on BudgeTone-100 only.
I have the MusicOnHold feature working great when called from ATA-186 extensions. It's pretty cool. However, when I call from a BudgeTone-100 phone, no music is heard -- instead it continues the ringing feedback and acts like the call is unanswered. At the same time, I can call from (multiple) ATA-186 extensions and hear music as long as I like. How can I debug this? As far as I can tell,

Restarting MOH
Hi list, I'm streaming live mp3 streams (web radios) via mplayer and mpg123 using MusicOnHold. Often, one or two of the streams die during the day and I have to restart (not reload) Asterisk to bring it back. "moh reload" on the console doesn't do anything. This is suboptimal if there are active callers, of course. Is there any way to restart the MOH system without

I am running Asterisk as non root and have set the required permissions for all directories including the moh dir specified in musiconhold.conf yet asterisk still complains it doesn't have access when starting? I get: WARNING[3600]: res_musiconhold.c:987 moh_scan_files: chdir() failed: Permission denied I ran asterisk with strace, and don't see it failing to access anything? Anyone know
