Crosscompile error tinc => 1.0.11 on openwrt whiterussian 0.9
Hello!
I try to maintain a couple off old Openwrt based routers. The routers
run openwrt whiterussian, so it quite outdated. But it is a little
dangerous to update a remote machine from whiterussian to kamikaze or
backfire, this may be usefull for others.
I used the openwrt whiterussian 0.9 sdk and the attached Makefile to
compile all tinc versions till 1.0.11. Since 1.0.11 the compile process

Multi default gateway and 2.4.30
Hi
I have just moved my firewall from a 2.6 debian machine to a 2.4.30
openwrt (linksys wrt54gs) box.
I orginially had this working with 2 isp, 1 cable 1 adsl and dyndns.
Now when i have moved to 2.4.30 I am having problems. Everything else
is working fine except when I DNAT packets from the firewall to an
internal address, ie my web browser is inside so I DNAT from the
external IP to the

port of vorbis encoder to non-fpu archs
Hi, i was asking in the irc about any developer or group of devs who
could enable a vorbis encoder to run on a MIPS32 architecture.
There is a payment for whoever can make this happen.
The main motivation comes from an art project (so is the funding)
All credits will go to whoever is able to improve the code and makes
the port as a package .ipk for the openwrt firmwares (preferably
kamikaze).

openwrt wrt54gs running asterisk/pap2
I have asterisk running in a wrt54gs attached is a pap2 with 2
extensions working on it, the problem now is that there is lots of echo,
some rythm in the background, and the voice is delayed by about 4 or 5
sec's between the 2 extensions. memory usage is about 15 to 20 megs so I
think I can solve the problem with correct settings, anyone know where I
might start to correct these issues

Recommended *WRT router to run Asterisk?
Hello
For users who 1) don't have a QoS-capable ADSL router and 2) would
like to run Asterisk with a couple of SIP trunks, I was wondering what
hardware is recommend to run any of the main open-source *WRT projects
to which Asterisk has been ported:

nut in openwrt
Hello,
I have a UPS device connected (USB) to a Debian server, but I want to
change it and connect to a OpenWRT router.
I installed this packages:
nut-server (2.6.5-2)
nut-driver-blazer_usb (2.6.5-2)
The problem is that I don't know where to configure it.
Anyone with a UPS connect to a OpenWRT device?
Thanks for your help.
Regards.

What version of OpenWRT?
I haven't tried this myself, but it looks like recent versions of OpenWRT use UCI, which seems to generate configuration files (including those for NUT) from a unified configuration syntax.

Converting an audio file to a ".gsm" format
Hello all,
have anyone an idea about converting an audio file (.wav, .mp3, .au,...) to
a ".gsm" audio file to use it as a voicemail file with Asterisk.

Distro ready out of the box
hi all,
I''m writing not for technical problems but for a simple question.
Do You know if there is a distro which is ready for traffic shaping etc.
''out of the box''?
I mean a distro which does not require patching the kernel and/or
iptables and/or installing from source etc. and gives the user most of
the tools needed (imq, ipp2p, l7filter and so on).
many thanks

But didn't one of your earlier mails say that tun did not appear in your
lsmod output?
If the module is there but not loaded, why don't you just "insmod" it?
I am confused.
Sorry, I can't help further. I have told

tinc running openwrt (mikrotik metarouter mips)
Hi Maxim
The reason I have two kernel is as follows.
When I did fresh install of openwrt , i tried "opkg install tinc" . It then
said "dependency required , kernel (= 3.3.8-1-" as I was on 2.6.31. I then
downloaded 3.3.8-1 and did opkg install kernel. And this is how I have
both...I think i just need to get a better image to start off with...Ill
search and get back to you.

tinc running openwrt (mikrotik metarouter mips)
You can find tinc package in openwrt repo and install it with opkg or luci.
I suggest you first run couple of tinc nodes on x86, just to understand how it works.

Does "modprobe tun" help? If not, it could be your kernel does not come
with a tun module,
