DTMF on iax channel is not interpreted by asterisk
Hi!
I'm using asterisk 1.4.17 with twinkle and a custom phone based on
iaxclient 2.0.2 and I'm struggling a bit with DTMF and features.conf.
While the twinkle client is able to initiate an attended transfer using
*2 (as configured in features.conf), the iax client is not. I can see
the DTMF messages showing up on the asterisk console, but asterisk does
not invoke the features

iax2 received mini frame before first full voice frame
Hi,
I'm running several asterisk servers in combination with dundi. The
servers are in different data centers, but other than that they are running
identical copies of the same os image, asterisk configuration, etc. One
server acts as the trunk and is used to terminate pstn calls, and pass them
on to another server via dundi, which then answers the call.
I recently noticed that one of

Help interpreting channel stats?
Could someone please look at this information and help me decipher what it
should actually mean to me? I've found a bit of information here and there
but I'd like to know what I'm supposed to be reading into this information:

Successive Dial apps give hang up within 30s!!
Hi All,
I am using an Asterisk 1.6.2.6, and when I use this part of the dialplan:
exten => 8355,1,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN}&IAX2/${EXTEN},18,tTWwr)
exten => 8355,n,Dial(IAX2/8366,48,tTWwr)
(i made that simple to exhibit issue)
I got just 1 ring in 8366 extension before it hangup, what i noticed is the
total time spent on ringing is 30s that means if i use 12s in the first dial
i get 18s left

does Jitter calculation in chan_iax2.c work???
Hi,
We are trying to get the jitter of a channel for iax channels.
iax2 show netstats
The above command always shows zero value for jitter. (Actually, only rtt
and kpkts are non-zero). The behaviour is the same even for
cross-continental calls.
Is this a bug in the implementation or a configuration problem?.
Thanks,
Vijay & Ashish
PS:We have enabled jitterbuffer at both ends.

Origin of "Exceptionally long voice queue length queuing to IAX2/blahblah" messages
Hello,
I'm using asterisk for a quite long period, i integrated a lot of stuff to make it behave like any carrier class system, so users can:
manage Call forward on busy
manage Call forward on no answer
manage unconditionnal call forward
call back missed calls
and a lot of such services that can be both configured by menus and dtmf or by web interfaces (PHP+SQL), in fact i recreated

IAX trunktimestamps and AST_CONTROL_SRCUPDATE
Hi,
I have just discovered (a year after it was implemented) a possibly
undocumented incompatability between IAX in Asterisk 1.4 and any
version of Asterisk pre-March 2008.
It seems an AST_CONTROL_SRCUPDATE frame type was added (in March '08),
but no mechanism to negotiate whether it can be sent to the remote
end, so if a "new" IAX endpoint sends it, and the remote end ignores
it,

Connecting a Rolm CBX to Asterisk via T1?
Hi all,
So I'm trying to work on this complex fax server setup, and part of it involves connecting my asterisk server to my Rolm CBX switch, via a T1 line. I plan on using Asterisk simply as a T1-PRI Bridge to IAXmodem (which in turn, activates HylaFax+ to handle the faxing). So far, though, I don't think I'm getting 100% of the way there. When dialing the fax extension from my

Help with IAX
I am attempting to use an IAX2 channel between two Asterisk systems.
This would seem to be a normal thing to do. I actually want to trunk
traffic between the two that are in remote locations. However, I have
started with what I think is a simple configuration, which should allow
for one way calling. Attached are the pertinent parts of my
configuration files. I am attempting to place a call on

Problem with socket_process: Call rejected by 127.0.0.1: Busy

I am not sure why this is happening or whether it has anything to do with my
