Automatic Calling Feature?
Right now, my organization is using a commercial service (OneCallNow.com), that gives telephone notifications to all numbers in a predefined list. Example: -Admin records a voice message -Service calls each number in the list, and plays the message back to them It's a pretty handy service, albeit a bit pricey. I've been wondering if Asterisk could do this for me? I don't really want

Swiss IP10S using SIP
Has anyone had success getting the Swiss IP10S and the SIP ( IP10 SP v0.0.1 (Build 4)) firmware working with Asterisk? If so do you have copies of what worked in sip.conf and phone configuration files? I can't seem to get the phone to register, it tries but is denied with a Forbidden (which I am guessing is authentication). I tried without a secret, but the phone seems to use swissvoice

Pulver's WiSIP with Linksys WAPs
I recently got a Pulver Innovations WiSIP wireless SIP phone to determine if we want to use them in our organization. Since the WiSIP phone arrived last week, I have had nothing but headaches. I do think I now have the problem narrowed down. I have spent a bulk of my time trying to get the WiSIP to work with a couple of Linksys WAP11 Version 2.2. I have met with no success in getting the WiSIP

Java Bridge Itext Example Anyone?
I MAY be able to derive something out of the present example given here : http://blog.codeinmotion.com/index.php/2006/12/22/pdf-generation-in-ruby-on-rails/ but this deals with filling out forms. Is there a simpler example that just allows you to talk to itext , send it some plain text and get back a pdf and then send that pdf to the user as downloadable / renderable data? -- Posted via

colSum() in Matrix objects
Hi, I'd like to simply add column-wise using Matrix objects (Csparse). It looks like one can apply mosty any base function to these objects (i.e., apply, colSums), but there is a nasty conversion to traditional matrix objects if one does that. Is there any workaround? I can see colSum listed in the help for Class 'CsparseMatrix' , but I wonder whether I'm using the default

Modelling an "incomplete Poisson" distribution ?
Dear list, I have the following problem : I want to model a series of observations of a given hospital activity on various days under various conditions. among my "outcomes" (dependent variables) is the number of patients for which a certain procedure is done. The problem is that, when no relevant patient is hospitalized on said day, there is no observation (for which the "number

Hello, I am mosty done with the upgrade, but there is a problem that keeps me awake at night: file ownership and permissions. It would be most helpful to have the following from Aki's live system: ls -halFR /var/run/dovecot -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Help with packages (methods, stats, stats4)
1. Unless there is a good reason not to, please always cc the list. As you note, I may misunderstand or just be too stupid, so you increase your chance of getting a good answer by ccing them, which I have done here 2. It looks like you need to install the multcomp package. Have you? Cheers, Bert Bert Gunter "The trouble with having an open mind is that people keep coming along and

Data saved to database, entered in to PDF file, PDF file with data archived, and then distributed va email and/ or download. The languuage I previous did all my web work in, Lasso, had this stuff built in, but it appears not to be so with Ruby or Rails. The latest info I can find on this is a year

How to kick/mute using ConfBridge application
Hi All, We are currently evaluating the confbridge application while we prepare to upgrade our environment to asterisk v1.6.2.x. We have run in to two issues using it to kick/mute participants in a bridge and would like to ask for the experience of others running the application for any work-arounds. Firstly for kicking participants, would it be possible to use the softhangup application

anyway in meetme to mute all but one user?
Hi. I am using latest asterisk 1.2 and it would be nice in a meetme conference to be able to mute all but a particular user and then unmute all those users again with one command. Am I missing something or is this not available? Maybe I could write something, but I wanted to check first. -- Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The question is: How do you spend it?

mute a call/ re-invite mid-session?
Hello ppl, Is there anyway to control a call mid-way in terms of sending a re-INVITE with say sendonly, etc. to mute one call leg of a bridged call ?? Looked around, so far, doesnt seem to be possible. If it's not, I think it's quite an important feature (re-INVITES mid-session) for a B2BUA. cheers - Ben.

zero/mute pattern ?
We are transmitting CELT encoded packages over a lossy channel, where from time to time complete packages do not arrive at the decoder. My questions: 1. What will be the best pattern to be fed into the decoder in order to minimize the audible impact and make best use of internal states from last block (like overlapp-add history etc.) and best blending with next block ? 2. Does this pattern

Nextel phone and mute on Asterisk?
Hello, I have a really irritating issue that I haven't had time to investigate much - I hope someone has encountered it and can tell me a solution. I didn't see anything in searching archives / sites.. When my Nextel i90c phone gets a page (2 way text message via the internet option) it has an irritating tone to get me to hear it. However this tone seems to mute asterisk (reproducible).

How to mute DTMF in meetme?
This is weird. If I have 2 members call into meetme using zap PRI channels on the box, they can here each other's keypresses. If I have 2 members call into a separate box using the same PRI's and then forward (dial(iax/...)) them to the previous box into the same meetme, they only hear a minor "squelch" for each other's keypresses. How can I completely mute a
