Clustering Meetme over multiple boxes?
Has anyone here done any work on clustering Meetme conferences over
multiple Asterisk boxes? The scenario I am thinking of is where there are
two or more boxes connected to a set of PRIs that all answer to the same
PSTN number, and where it's not possible to know in advance on which box
a call would arrive. So it would be possible to have some calls on one
box and some on another, that should

MeetMe Admin Functions
Is there any way that I can have an admin user hit * and then Mute all other users in a meetme conference? Sort of a moderator function?
I know it can be done with MeetMeAdmin, but as I see it that requires a separate extension to dial, unless I've got the logic wrong?
If it can be done in a single extension please show examples.
Thanks.

special conference room
Hi list,
I am in need of a "special" asterisk conference room with the following
constraints:
- there is one admin / moderator and several "normal" callers.
- the callers must not hear any other caller, only the moderator
- the moderator must be able to mute and unmute any caller at any time
- the moderator must be able to talk to all callers or to a specific caller.

MeetMe Admin unmute user problem
Hello fellow asterisk users,
I've been facing a problem when using MeetMe's admin functionality to
unmute users in a conference using *Asterisk 1.6.2.11*.
I've tried:
1) MeetMeUnmute (AMI)
2) MeetMeAdmin(AMI)
3) MeetMeChannelAdmin(AMI)
and also tried via console : "asterisk -rx 'meetme unmute conf_no user_no'"
and the available AGI functions.
but all of this to no

Background music during a call
Hi All,
I am in desperate need of this feature. I want to play background music
during a call while the 2 parties are having some lovely conversation (or
maybe give them a sort of cursing background if they are cursing each
other). I found this post which talks about creating a ghost call with the
help of queues and putting that queue in a meetme room where queue will play
the song/curse and the

built-in; This doesn=92t matter because the moderator would have to use
meetmeadmin or the confbridge equivalent to control the other functions.
The moderator would either need two phones or a phone and a web =
interface.
Let=92s say Yves=92 =93special conference=94 is 5555. The moderator =

using this command

Questions on converting to ConfBridge
I'm looking at what would be involved in converting from MeetMe to
ConfBridge and there seems to be a lot of missing administrative things,
but I hope I'm just missing it. We all know about the missing realtime
linkage. That's a major nuisance, but can be worked around.
More serious is that the CLI command to display users in a ConfBridge
don't show the caller ID information, so

MeetMe Listen Only flag (|m)
One of the features that I thought would be popular with the Web-MeetMe
suite is the ability to start all non-admin callers in a muted state and
selectively unmute them. For example any large conference that is
of an announcment nature with a Q&A session.
It's probably a feature I should have tested better, but I just
discovered
that a caller that is joined to a MeetMe with the |m flag

Mute conference participants
Hi,
Looking at
https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/ConfBridge+Configuration there
is an option for admin_toggle_mute_participants however the non admin users
can still toggle toggle_mute. Is there any option for the admin to disallow
non admins from using toggle_mute to unmute themselves? If there isn't such
an option on there any devs here that can ping me off line what it would

Unmute all users in Meetme conference as admin
Hi,
I setup an MeetMe conference.
So, the admin user calls and enter the conference in talk/listen mode.
(Options : dAaxs)
Then other users call the same conference and enters in muted mode
(options: dlmx)
How can the admin user decide, when he is ready to let everybody speaks ?
I didn't find such option in the admin menu.
Thanks

MeetMe questions
I'm looking into deploying * for an internal conference call server (using
MeetMe) and had a couple of quick questions for those of you who have used
it. I checked the Wiki but there weren't a lot of details for MeetMe.
- Can you limit the size of a conference "room", ie max 8 people, etc.
- Is there a list somewhere (besides the source ;) that has all the commands

*** Asterisk Sunday News: Conferences on the phone and IRL - "in real life"
Here in Sweden, it's supposed to be springtime. A wonderful time of the year,
with sunny skies and wonderful weather. Almost summer. Today, it's not.
It's winter all over again with rain and only 3 degrees celsius outside.
Better to stay inside and write a weekly Asterisk newsletter :-)

ANNOUNCEMENT : MeetMe - Web-MeetMe (throughmanager)
Cool! I'm still away from the office, but I was starting to
work towards syching meetme2 up to the version of meetme in
* 1.0.7. It is over a 2000 line diff, ignoring the database
integration code, so it was looking like a not too trivial
task.
One question though, how difficult will it be to extend your
latest version with the scheduling features I built on top
of you previous version? I

I'm a 1.2 Luddite so I don't have all these fancy new features :)
A different solution to a similar problem.
I had problems with abusive callers in my conferences. I whipped up some
dialplan and AGI mojo to let an admin mute and unmute individual
