[LLVMdev] Compiling LLVM 2.7 with Visual Studio 2010.
Hey,
Downloaded the release, used CMake to create solution... building mostly
seems to be OK, except for a couple of compiler errors.

[LLVMdev] Errors building llvm with Visual Studio in Debug mode
It compiles successfully with VC++ 7.1. You are apparently using VC++
8.0, otherwise known as the Whidbey beta. The cause is no doubt due to
bugs in Whidbey and this isn't the first one encountered. I'm sorry,
but I cannot support beta Microsoft products (if only because I refuse
to have them anywhere near my computer). All I can suggest is that you
do a 'clean solution'

[LLVMdev] Compiling LLVM 2.7 with Visual Studio 2010.
Hey,
So I tried to fix these errors, and have everything compiling now... not too
difficult, just annoying.

[LLVMdev] Has anyone sucessfully compile the llvm code using visual studio 2005?
HI everyone.
I am using visual studio 2005 and windows xp to compile the llvm project. I
downloaded the project with svn client. I thought this action may gurantee
my code is up to date and integrate.
However, after I opened the solution located in the win32 directory and
build the solution, the visual studio output many many errors, and even few
projects can be compiled to generate runable .exe

[LLVMdev] Errors building llvm with Visual Studio in Debug mode
I'm not sure what causes this. Everything builds fine in Release mode
but when I try to do a Debug build I get an error in Transforms (which
causes all dependant projects to fail as well). I'm not exactly sure
what causes the error, I'll try to investigate tomorrow (unless
someone can figure out what it is by then). Below is the output from

[LLVMdev] Linker problems with Visual Studio
I finally managed to compile a working fibonacci example (using the
interpreter, I'm still working on porting the x86 backend). The final
problem was that I couldn't find a way to force the linker to include
the Dominators.obj file since there were no references to it. There is
an option to the linker to stop it from stripping unreferenced code, but
it still doesn't pull the object

[LLVMdev] Visual Studio 2005/2008 ClangDiagnosticsEmitter Patch
I'm in the process of trying to build LLVM and clang in Visual Studio
2008.
Building trunk of LLVM and clang fails because of an VC STL issue:

Here's a patch that allows tablegen to compile:

clang build failures using Visual Studio
Anyone run into this before?
I'm trying to get a Windows native build using Visual Studio of LLVM,
Clang, and LLD 4.0.0. So far LLVM built successfully, but I'm getting these
cryptic error messages when building Clang:

Building Rgui.exe with Visual Studio
Hi,
I have downloaded and modified the source for rgui - because I wanted to add
a few more custom menus to the GUI. I have almost got it completed, but have
spent the last four hours trying to resolve the following issues (no pun
intended !)

If you have serious questions about the licensing of Cygwin/LLVM, you
really need to talk to a lawyer. No one on this list can give you
advice in that area which will accurately reflect

Visual Studio .NET
Hi`
we recently switched to using Visual Studio .NET and now I get a crash
inside Ogg Vorbis unless I recompile Ogg Vorbis itself with Visual Studio
.NET. Are there any known issues like that? If possible I'd like to use the
official binaries.

[LLVMdev] lld fails to build on Visual Studio 2013
Hey there,
lld fails to build on Visual Studio 2013 because of ErrorOr<void>.
For example, ErrorOr<void> is used in InputGraph.h as the return type
of InputGraph::reset.
Inside of ErrorOr, there is:
typedef typename remove_reference<T>::type &reference
As T is void, and remove_reference <T>::type results in void, the
typedef expands to:
typedef void & reference,

Visual Studio Project file?
I am working on a project that transports audio in realtime from a linux
box to a windows box throuh libcelt.
The windows client program is written in C# and C++ and I therefore need
the celt library in its most recent version (0.7) to be able to compile
in Visual Studio 2008.
In order to do this I, as I understand it, need a .vcproj file for the
project.
Are there any plans on making such a

[LLVMdev] Is there someone tried LLVM 2.1 on Visual Studio 2005?
By the way, somebody (I think it was Chuck, but I don't remember for
certain) was asking for the BuildLog.htm from building the llvm.sln file
under VS 2005 SP1 for diagnostic purposes; right now the SLN is configured
to produce a new BuildLog for each and every one of the projects inside the
solution. I don't know who's responsible for this guy, but that's probably
not the best way

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Raising minimum required Visual Studio version to 2013 for trunk
I’d like to propose raising the minimum required compiler for the LLVM & Clang trunks for Visual Studio to MSVC 2013.
Doing this will allow us to take advantage of a bunch of C++11 features that are not supported by MSVC 2012. According to MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh567368.aspx) the list is:
* Non-static data member initializers
* Variadic templates
* Initializer lists
