Asterisk community services - Old Mantis instance to be shutdown on Aug 28th, 2012
On June 5, 2011, we migrated from Mantis to Jira as the issue tracker
for Asterisk [1]. We temporarily left Mantis running in read-only mode
to smooth the transition. At 15 months, temporary has turned into
semi-permanent. As a part of other infrastructure changes we are making
to the community services, we will finally shut down Mantis for good.
We will update our DNS servers on the morning of

Permission error (Mantis bugtracker)
Hi all,
I've installed mantis.noarch and mantis-config-httpd.noarch packages.
The problem is I always get the same error in Apache:.
You don't have permission to access /mantis on this server.
It's curious 'cause:
* I work in localhost mode and I've running drupal site and phpMyAdmin
without problems. So, Apache works fine.
* I've created mantis ddbb according the docs

Migration from Mantis to JIRA
Greetings,
A few weeks ago I posted a message about the upcoming migration from
Mantis to JIRA for issues.asterisk.org [1]. A lot of testing has been
done and all known issues have been resolved. We have scheduled the
migration for Sunday, June 5th. The issue tracker will be down most of
the day as the migration takes place. Once the migration is complete,
the issue tracker will be:

Weird freeze problem
Hello,
I am running mongrel 1.1 in production mode behind a lighttpd with mod_proxy.
At first everything works fine, however, after a few days, the mongrel servers stop answering at all, even if I try to connect to them directly.
I have checked logs but there is no sign of anything at all, and even when there was not a single request for a few days, it did freeze, and
that on repeated occasions.

Old mantis e-mails
I am suddenly getting a bunch of OLD (as in 3-9 months old) e-mails
from mantis saying things like a note has been added to an issue etc.,
and yet the issue has not been touched in months and the "new note" it
is referring to is also months old. Consequently, I never received
these e-mails before either. The e-mail itself shows that

[LLVMdev] LLVM/.Clang: 'make' freeze ?
Hi,
Ive been trying to build llvm/clang from source, but at the point
where the make reaches ' llvm[4]: Linking Debug+Asserts executable
clang', it seems that the make just seems to freeze or become
unresponsive. When it reaches this point, almost no CPU/IO activity
seems to take place, and yet the 'make' does not seem to progress any
further either. Ive been waiting/watching at

Polycom 501 sluggish keys: found the problem!
Here is what I had to change on the phone1.cfg file:
I had this value in my 1.6.7 file, put in there following suggestions from
the Wiki
(http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Polycom+Soundpoint+IP+501) :
reg.1.server.1.expires="30"
Now, this worked flawlessly with 1.6.7. But with 2.x, this seizes up the
phone with a huge CPU load (approaching 100% at times) and makes it

[Asterisk-Dev] Asterisk 1.2 Release Plans
As previously mentioned on the lists by Olle Johannson, we are actively
trying to get Asterisk in shape for a 1.2 release within the next 60
days. To accomplish this, we need a few things to happen:
1) A feature freeze - This will occur at the end of this month, with no
new feature submissions accepted after July 31st. Any _pending_ feature
patches in Mantis that have passed architecture

Weird USB lockup with Linksys USB100TX NIC
So I have one of these, that I bought cheap on eBay. It was working just
fine on my main -STABLE workstation (Abit KG7 motherboard), up until last
Friday when I moved it onto the VIA EPIA-M machine I'm building. The NIC
was detected OK as aue0, then the machine locked up running dhclient. It
turns out that it wasn't really hung, but apparently spinning in the kernel

How to change the time interval in dashboard for a node is considered unresponsive
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with puppet-dashboard because I appear unresponsive
when many nodes are running correctly.
In my current configuration nodes do not run the daemon, but I have
created a cron task that runs once the command puppetd at hourly
intervals.
The point is that when I look into dashboard many nodes are always
considered unresponsive because it seems that the default dashboard

Progressively worsening unresponsiveness
Hello all, I'm new to the list, and hoping someone can point me in the
right direction.
I've got an Ubuntu 14 dom0 with, what I think, are excellent specs. 12
cores, hyperthreaded, VT, 64GB RAM, gobs of disk, etc... all to run 8
virtual machines (at the moment).
My problem is each of the guests - Windows, Ubuntu, FreeBSD, starts out
working fine. After several minutes, the guest

Server unresponsive until reboot, memory exhausted
I'm having an issue with an apache web server running the latest CentOS5
kernel (this issue is not new to the kernel). After a few days/weeks of
running the server will become unresponsive and will require a physical
reboot in order to come back online. The system is so unresponsive when
the issue occurs that login at console is not even possible.
I have atop installed and have looked back

DTMF Caller ID w/o polarity inversion
Hi Folks,
I've been looking around and found some references of some Caller ID
patches (Mantis bug#9) for X100P and TDM400 for Netherlands, Sweden
and UK. It's been quite hard to understand what has finally been
incorporated to the distribution (if anything) or which patches must
be applied in witch snapshot of the repository.
I've tried some different approaches but nothing worked

chisq.test freezing on certain inputs
Hello everybody,
I'm running R 1.8.1 on both Linux and OS X compiled with gcc 3.2.2 and
3.3, respectively. The following call seems to freeze the interpreter
on both systems:
> chisq.test(matrix(c(233, 580104, 3776, 5786104), 2, 2),
simulate.p.value=TRUE)
By freeze, I mean, the function call never returns (running > 10 hours
so far), the process is unresponsive to SIGINT (but I

Problem with dovecot and system crashing
Hi all,
I am running dovecot on a linux server (FC3) in conjunction with
Sendmail. My configuration is quite vanilla and I am having the
following problem: occasionally (once every 3-10 days) the dovecot
server will become unresponsive and attempting to access mail via pop3
will produce an error message on the client side.
As best as I can tell, the dovecot process dies because if I restart

Still on spandsp/app_fax and T.38
This message is pointed directly to Steve Underwood. I tought it would not be nice to directly email him with a question that interests a good part of the Asterisk community, so here it is. :)
Steve, remember a few days ago when we discussed about issues on Asterisk 1.6.1.13 and T.38 fax reception? Well I opened an issue on Mantis (https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=16756) and turns out it

Asterisk unresponsive
We are running asteriskNow 1.4.18 and after a few days it becomes unresponsive and inbound INVITEs timeout.
We just reboot the box to resolve it. But it seems to be occurring more regularly now.
I am hesitant to move to latest version, but will do if needed.
Any guidance or troubleshooting modes I may use will be helpful.
