Increase DTMF Tone Duration
Hi,
We are running 1.4.22 and have been experiencing problems with certain
IVRs and DTMF Tone duration. We would like to be able to increase DTMF
Tone duration by 50 to 100ms over what the user is pressing on his
phone. We have a PRI test circuit and an analyer in between to measure
tone duration.
We have tried setting chan_dahdi.conf parameter 'toneduration', but that
does not do

dtmf not being detected from viatalk
I am using viatalk as my voip provider and they use dtmf=rfc2833, but
asterisk is not seeing any of the dtmf. I am using CVShead as of
8/26/05. Nothing in the logs indicates a dtmf is being seen. If I
use my pots line it sees it fine.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

problem with dtmf detection in asterisk 11
Hi. I am having problems with asterisk detection dtmf properly in
asterisk 11. I am up to rev 390229. Now, when coming in off a did we
have with Velocity, the dids work fine, but from extensions often it
misses digits -- I can type *4 and it will miss the 4. Often, if I type
quite slowly things will work properly. All dtmf modes are set to
rfc2833. Strangely enough, I did not notice this with

Random DTMF tones generated from speech
Thank you, very interesting!
As I understand the Digium card is used as a interrupt source for Asterisk?
Is there a diagnostic tool available ?
Anybody else experienced a simmialr problem?
Thank you!

problems using the 1.4 version of meetme
Hi. I am having a strange problem when using the 1.4 version of
asterisk and zaptel. If I call from a pstn line into the asterisk box
using a phone number which calls the box via sip, then once I am in
the meetme conference nothing happens when I hit the star key -- I
cannot get the user menu. There is nothing in the logs at all its as
though asterisk never sees the digit at all. Now if I do

11.6.2 segfaults after dtmf on dahdi channel
Hi. I have been using asterisk-1.6.2 and if I update the version --
using svn -- to around May 19 or after, when I dial a digit on my fxs
port which is on an X400p card, asterisk seg faults. If I go back
before about this date, this problem does not occur. The dahdi version
is svn 7445.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

DTMF not being sent ( RFC2833 )
Hello,
I installed Asterisk 1.6.2.17.3 ( latest as of yesterday ) and had multiple problems with DTMF.
I have two machines, we'll call them asterisk and asterisk-pri. Asterisk does IVR and asterisk-pri has a PRI card in it and connects to the PSTN. The two servers communicate via SIP with RFC2833.
I setup logger.conf on both machines to display DTMF to the console. Both are built from

Asterisk RFC2833 to SIP INFO DTMF conversion erros.
Hi,
I am using asterisk 1.4.17 which is connected to a SIP trunk supporting
rfc2833 dtmf events. Asterisk stays in the media path. In sip.conf I have
set dtmfmode=rfc2833 for the outbound sip proxy (SIP Trunk account) and for
SIP clients I have set dtmfmode=info. So when I make a call to a cell number
using the sip trunk and then press digits I can see the 2833 dtmf events
coming to asterisk

Voicemail2 and RFC2833 DTMF
Hi,
In testing the Budgetone we have noticed something strange with DTMF and
Voicemail. When we set the Budgetone for RFC2833, and connect to voicemail,
the detected DTMF digits do not correspond with what we pressed on the phone.
For example user=1001, password=1001 is detected as:
Incorrect password '1111000000111' for user '111000000111' (context = <any>)
Any idea

"Inband DTMF is not supported on codec G.711 u-law. Use RFC2833"
Using FireFly, all other codecs but G711 Ulaw is selected. But whenever I
place a call, I get:
Jan 24 16:07:06 WARNING[30654495]: dsp.c:1468 ast_dsp_process: Inband DTMF
is not supported on codec G.711 u-law. Use RFC2833
Umm, wtf? I thought Inband was ONLY supported on G.711 u-law.

problems with dtmf using asterisk-1.4 rev r 6745
OK, using zaptel 1.4 and asterisk 1.4 rev 6745, if someone types an
asterisk from the other end of a call, I here it forever till the call
hangs up. Looks like it starts the vldtmf, but never ends it from the
logs.
I am using Digium 400P rev I with one fxs and one fxo module.
Any way around this one?
Thanks.

Asterisk 1.6 (and 1.4) DTMF problems using RFC2833
We are experiencing intermittent DTMF problems here, with the following
setup:
ITSP -> PIX -> Asterisk (g729, RFC2833 for DTMF).
I am running Ubuntu server 10.04, but Asterisk is compiled by us and not
installed from the software repository. Essentially, DTMF works for some
time, but at some point it simply stops and the point at which it stops
appears to be random.
Using RTP debug, I

DTMF Corruption Problem in 1.4.2 for SIP RFC2833 plz halp
Hello mailing list,
I have been porting one of my Asterisk boxes to 1.4 and I have
encountered a nasty DTMF problem. What happens is someone might come
in to my IVR and enter "12345" and what will actually come through
could be along the lines of "12234445". Sometimes it works, sometimes
it doesn't.
I had this problem with 1.2 back in November but was able to solve it

DTMF issues/redial tones with rfc2833
Hi,
We have few systems with asterisk 1.4.22.1 and we use sip trunking for them
not PRI's, one of our system is giving a problem of dtmf (rfc2833), like
when we dial the number that have IVR and enter the extension or access
code, it some time takes it and some times does'nt recognize the digits
dialled. We also tried auto and info for dtmf but could not get the dtmf to
work reliably, can

Oh, I forgot to mention that Asterisk 15 went End-Of-Life last Thursday.
:) You should use Asterisk 16.

Hi. I am having problems accessing subdirectories on a samba share. I
am using windows 10 build 10586 and linux kernel 4.1.15-gentoo and samba
4.2.7. I have two shares, one called audio and the other called
myshare. I cannot access the subdirectories in the myshare share. Here
are the definitions.
