I am running Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred 10 on openSUSE 11.3 with wine version 1.3.5.2010.1026-1.1. It does not run perfectly; however it is serviceable. I started with a fresh wine install and set it up with winetricks, using the following perimeters: corefonts tahoma firefox gecko ie6 - I couldn't get ie7 to install vcrun2008 winxp winver= volnum Then install DNS10 and follow the

Linejack strikes again.
Hi All, Does anyone know if there has been any developments in asterisk to use LineJacks to dial out (connect to the PSTN)? The card works perfectly with virtually anything else but asterisk. Maybe the CVS versions have some work on it? Cheers, -Z -- __________________________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com

List of magic wins numbers
Hi, I am looking for a list of theses special magic numbers that a samba server (or a windows box) registers with at a wins server. I already know of <00> as a ordinary name, <1b> as a domain. But what's the rest? Is there a list anywhere? Perhaps somewhere in the docs? I have searched them but haven't found anything yet. Thanks, Christopher --

Rails magic for MySQL -> XML file -> MySQL and back again ??
Greetings! My little app collects data from the user, persists it in about a dozen tables during the session, writes out / saves an XML file that''s downloaded to the user''s PC when they''re done, then clears the db of all data entered, and deletes the XML file from the server. Now I need to allow the user to upload the same XML file they created earlier and put it back

help - I think partition magic just clobbered me.
I have(had) redhat 7.2 installed along with win 98. my latest kernel appeared to be working fine. the /boot and / partition were set up as ext3. I had it running for over a week, before booting back to win 98. while running under win 98 I started partition magic 7.0, which claims to know about ext2 partitions. It gave me the same error twice, I unfortunate did not note the error at the time. it

Mailing list question
Hi, Is the any kind of 'tag' that I can include at the end of my message to make the list processing software ignore and dispose of my disclaimer? In other words - something like <disclaimer> at the end of my message would inform the list software to remove any lines after it. My massive disclaimer is added by the server you see - and it's now annoying me - let alone the rest

AGI Delimiter in 1.6
Hi I am currently using 1.2.x and 1.4.x behind OpenSER. One of the things I do on INVITES is to re-authenticate the user from OpenSER. Then when the INVITE gets passed to Asterisk I capture the AUTH to a variable in the dialplan and pass to an AGI script. I am now trying to set the same thing up in 1.6 However because the argument delimter in 1.6 has changed from pipe to comma this breaks as the

What about ZFS ?
Hi everybody, I'm looking for information about using GlusterFS with ZFS. I got information that talked about a sort of incompatibility between the both technologies because of unsupported xattr feature in ZFS. What are the latest news about this ? Thank you in advance.

Many thanks for compiz-0.7.6, but 1 box now experiences WSOD
Danny, All Thanks for a great compiz-0.7.6. The cylinder takes a little warming up to, but is really cool. Of all the boxes I have updated, I have one that now experiences the White Screen of Death (WSOD) when compiz is started. Killing X with ctrl+alt+backspace or ssh from remote and kill compiz and emerald is the only way out. The box was working fine with fglrx_7_1_0_SUSE103-8.476-1 and

nvfaxdetect in 10.0
Hi gang, We are moving our 1.4 asterisk with DAHDI over to 10.0 with SIP. Everything is going nicely except that I can't get NV_FAXDETECT to compile properly into 10.0. Because of this, I will have to have my receptionist manually transfer incoming faxes. Any suggestions? Thanks in Advance Danny Nicholas -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

Loudness of recorded wav-audio
Hello, I sent a wav-audio to Asterisk though SIP and ISDN channels and recorded it in wav-audio at the Asterisk server. I found the loudness level of the recorded audio was too high comparing with the orginal audio. How can I ajust it, so that there will be no amplifier used for recording. Thanks a lot. best regards Felix -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

About list to list - thanks
Thank you very much for your useful suggestions. These are exactly what I was looking for. foo <- list(foo1, foo2, foo3) lapply(foo, function(x) matrix(unlist(x), nrow = length(x), byrow = TRUE)) or lapply(foo, function(x) do.call('rbind', x)) Best, Muhammad Subianto On 4/11/06, Muhammad Subianto <msubianto at gmail.com> wrote: > Dear all, > I have a result my experiment

Please remove mirrors.skyshe.cn from mirror list,Thanks!
Hi, This is a (new?) mirror in China, but I found this mirror hasn't enough bandwidth, I have tested in many server in China, this mirror has a low ping (smaller than 30ms), and a very low download speed(smaller than 10KB/s), so fastestmirror will let it to be the best mirror, but download very slow. I am really happy to see that skyshe.cn is willing to provide this service.

drop dead fix
Hello list, I am about to have to dump Asterisk in favor of some other VOIP/PBX solution; the reason? I have 304 voice prompts recorded as 22Khz wav format files that sound like crumpling paper whenever I convert them to the 8Khz wav/gsm format required by Asterisk. I was considering trying the G.729 codec, but reading through the specs, I see that the 8Khz conversion is going to

Funky IAX behavior between 1.4 and 1.8
Hi Gang, My production box with my DAHDI cards is a 1.4.26 build. I have 3 test machines that I do IAX communication with. Machine 1 is a real Dell POWEREDGE 1500 running CENTOS running 1.4.30. Machine 2 is a SUSE 11.1 VM running 1.4.30. Machine 3 is another SUSE 11.1 VM running 1.8.0. I can SIP into all 4 machines and life is great. When I try to IAX from the live machine to

Thanks to the list for 3ware RAID info...
All: Thanks to everyone who participated in the rather long thread recently about RAID arrays and CentOS. I have been needing to research RAID for CentOS for some time, so the discussion was timely for me. Based on the discussion in that thread, I bought a 3ware 9650SE card and a bunch of WD drives. I was told by 3ware that 9650SE driver will likely not be in the CentOS 5 kernel

DAHDI weather quirk
Hello list, This may or may not be Asterisk related, but if I had hair I'd pull it out over this. I have a TDM400P card in a Dell POWEREDGE 1550 running Asterisk 1.4.30. Everything works great except that every time it rains, I get flooded with this CLI message - == Starting post polarity CID detection on channel 1 -- Starting simple switch on 'DAHDI/1-1'
